What's new

Breaking Bad

I just watched it. It didn't feel like it was 47 minutes long. The credits started to roll and I thought I still had half the episode. So glad it's back.

Thought it kind of dragged at points, but still interesting. Why did Gus get rid of his henchman? Was the guy a snitch? Did he screw up by not taking Gail's notes? Or because he was seen at Gail's apartment? That's pretty cold-blooded.

I think the henchman got killed because he was seen at Gails murder scene. The henchman shouldn't have said anything to that Mike the cleaner dude. That's the last guy you want to say something like that to. Also, the notebook alludes to the downfall of Gus. They seem to be hinting at Walts wife doing future illegal activities too. Only a matter of time. Imo

Yeah I guess Gus killed him because he was now a liability, didnt grab the phone (probably not the main issue) and the lab book they zoomed in on of course.

hmmmm very very interesting.

I sense Mike has a lot to think about. Maybe he's thinking Gus did order the murder of the boy... that Gus caused this shit situation with his utter ruthlessness.

Remember the look Mike gave Walt when he suggested Gus ordered the boy's murder. If the suggestion was shocking, then the suspicion will get under his skin...

3 Reasons Gus killed victor IMO

1. He was seen at gales apartment after the murder, and failed to remove key evidence linking gale to meth cooking.

2. He failed Gus by not preventing it in the first place

3. To send a message to Walt, Jessie, and Mike too.
If I'd kill my right hand man like this, is there anything I wouldn't do?

Brilliant scene, I thought Gus was going to walk out without saying anything at all.
The long time spent changing into the plastic suit built a "whats going to happen" sense of suspense that was incredible.

I think that Mike will end up helping Walt in the end when the shit really starts hitting the fan, because I don't think mike is feeling a whole lot of "Job security" after seeing what happened to victor.

One of the previews has Walter saying something like "just get me in a room with him' and they show a clip of him firing a snubnose 38...

Will Walt become the new Gus?

The writers have also made a point of showing Mike w/ his granddaughter. Mike will turn because he's a soft family man.

I love how Walt was freaking out as Victor cooked.. and began to wonder.. had he memorized everything? Cameras, there were cameras everywhere! He shriveled and became Walter the dissatisfied chemistry teacher for a few moments..

And the fact that 96% pure of regular-colored glass was acceptable for Gus in the flashback with Gale.. good writing, it kept Walt and Jesse's ultimate value in doubt until the slash.

I'd say a mix of 2 and 3. GusGus went down there, did his shit without saying a word, just freaked the hell out of everyone, even baldie...can't remember his name...that's Mike?

I wasn't even sure if Jessie was even going to kill Gale in the first place. Will be ready for more surprises and hopefully a kick ass season!

I thought it was a good episode. What's up with that glass eye thing that they have focused on at points in last nights episode and last season as well? The thing skylar was looking at in walt's apartment, it was in his kitchen drawer. Looks like the eyeball from a stuffed animal or something. I really hate skylar and the sister too, but I think that's the point.

Speaking of Sky in Walt's apt, was she fondling his underwear when going through his drawers?
I assume she was looking for his money? Should be interesting when he gets the bill from the locksmith.

i felt like we were supposed to be guessing jesse from the preview, but your guess makes me think it's possible!

And mike turning to walt seems entirely possible. But jesse was partying pretty hard in the preview too, walt generally freaks out the most at jesse.

I'm excited to see, but gus is pretty cunning... It could go any way but at least we know we got a season's worth still!
