Well I finally got some batteries for my camera and figured I'd share my experience so far with coco.

Nutes are 1 teaspoon Maxibloom per gallon,1 ml Superthrive and 1/2 teaspoon Epsom salt.

I water twice a day by hand while lights on. Drain to waste.

Medium is GH 5lb brick coco pre rinsed with 1/4 strength maxi.
About a 60/40 mix coco/hyydroton and some left over perlite.

I'm using city water in a tub that I top off eveyday. I have an air pump with 2 air stones to take care of the chlorine.

My water comes out at 7.2. I ad the above nutes and it drops to 6.2. I add 6 drops of GH ph Down to bring it to 5.6.

1000 watt Galaxy dimmable balast with an econowing hood.

I have 12 ladies in 8 inch pots. Flavors are Bubblegum,Raw Diesel,Heavy Duty Fruity,White Rhino and Orange Crush.

3rd day of 12/12 and away we go!!!!!!

I'd also like to thank The other members here for sharing their grows. I learned everything right here. I'm on a small budget for this first run and the coco/maxibloom combo seemed like the best bang for a buck. Safe and cheap!! I've kept it under $1000.00 so far but I will eventually need a fan and scrubber.

I'm really impressed with the vigor of growth in the coco. My first time with this medium and very excited with the results. They've been topped and tied down to spread'em out.

Here's a cpl more pics with the white balance adjusted.

Man starting to like the look of these coco grows, might have to give it crack my self. Nice assortment of strains there mate, they all look great. Tagged, look forward to your updates. Good luck.

Looking fantastic BudMuncher1. I’m loving the coco too. I used to run DWC, but it’s too hot where I live now. For me, coco seems much faster than soil and I don't have root issues like I was always fighting due to high temps running DWC. I can’t see going back. Keep us updated on your grow. Orange Crush makes my mouth water, a trip down memory lane :)

Pakrat, Bundy. Thanks for stopping in. Yeah this coco gig is alright. "It's so easy a Caveman can do it!"

I put together a co2 generator. Homeade of course. Water, sugar and active dry yeast. I made 4 bottles. Just mix them up and poke a hole in the lid and ur good to go. I shakem up a little bout twice a day to release a lil more co2. And I do it carefully so I dont spray it all over the place.( Ive already done that. lol)

Kickass thread man, have you grown out the heavy duty fruity before? She can be a big girl and I think she has won a few cups over the years. I switched over to coco last run and it was the single biggest improvement that I've ever made since switching over to vertical growing. I now grow with 6.5Ltr pots of coco, drippers, RTW. The growth rate was incredible.

Here are 2 pictures for you to differentiate, there are 6 days between each picture and this was during veg, no flower stretch.

I've never seen that growth rate with soil and 600w bulbs, for anyone out there considering to go coco I say get on the ball asap, I always have a big smile after I leave the growroom now.

Everything is moving right along. The stretch is just starting to kick in.

Nodes are Stacking! I'm so excited about this. My first grow in over 6 yrs.:jump:
They might need a little more magnesium so I might up the Epsom salt to a teaspoon.

Heres a few picks.

Update. 14 days 12/12

Still chugging right along. Fuzzy little buds everywhere.

My temps are around 81 and my humidity is up to 50%.

Benn doing a lot of pruning, tieing down, bending and rotating to get the best light coverage.

Still feeding twice a day and Ive added KoolBloom to my fertilizer arsenal.

I added 1/4 tsp per gallon for one feeding.

I also changed out my homeade co2. 4 fresh bottles.

Everything is as healthy as can be. I'm stoked!:jump::gday:

I like to take all the shaded fan leaves off, helps with airflow.

Thx for the advice. Ive been pruning a lot, at least I thought I was. Everytime I go in there I pick at least one 0r 2 leaves off.

I had to do a floor at my inlaws today and when I got back I went to feed them bitches and started seeing more PM. So I raised my light, pulled them all out and sprayed<em with the green cure again(which made my humidity go up to 41%) and plucked many leaves!!!

I turned the a/c down a cpl of degrees so we'll see.I might need to get a real fan that'll push some air.

On the brighter side they are looking wonderful and starting to get a nice sweet smell in there. Theres a little frost on all of them now.Twinkle Twinkle
