Hello, I just recently started a 4k room fully sealed with co2. the strains i have are 8 grape gods and 24 pineapple expresses. they are just over 2 weeks old out of the cloner. the plants got transplanted into 1 gallons about a 5 days ago because it was too hard to keep them from drying out in the smaller pots, and they had already filled cups. I transplanted into 1 gallon squares with canna coco that i precharged with week 1 at 10 percent feed phed to 5.8. the plants looked like they were overwater the next morning, even though pots seemed to drain well. i let them dry out a day and the next morning they were showing signs of burn on lower growth and starting to yellow. so i poked 5 more larger holes in containers and reflushed with 1 gallon on tap water and 1 gallon of week 1 solution at 400ppm. Plants progressively gotten worse, getting blotchy in color, looking leathery, tips drooping down and some twist and lower burn. Ive ran the pineapple with same nute regiment before at different location with no issues. This is my first time running the grape gods and they had signs of nutrient def. when i got them. any help would be appreciated.

because you're running the rhizo and not the coco 2 part, are you running CAL/MG?

also, try skipping the drip clean on a few plants and see if they bounce back, I hate getting flack for shitting on this product but in some cases I've seen it make nutrients unavailable to plants that are in soil/soilless.

^^^^What he said..

Mostly they look over watered which is common after transplanting.

One gallon flush, I wish it was that easy :)

put em' in a bath tub and put the water to a neutral temperature and a slow pace and let it run through for a while, then flush with your prepared water at the end.

ive read that 2 times the volume of the pot is enough to flush, but may be incorrect. I run the coco a/b rhizo and cannazym. i just adjusted meter again and see how they respond after a light watering at half strength. Should I run a higher ppm or what?

how often are you feeding, are there any waterings or just feedings?

also do you know the runoff ph?

been feeding every time once a day. never just water, unless flushing. the runoff ph has been about 6.3 or so. have not checked a slurry of the coco cause i dont have ro water.

I read 3 times the amount a bunch of places, I've watched a friend try to flush 3 gallon pots with 6 gallons, with crappy results, and he got tired of filling all those jugs and adjusting the water, so he started doing this instead and he and the plants love it. He's got a small piece of tube attached to the faucet in the tub to get the water to the pots, then he usually feeds them right after the flush while they are still in the tub, he uses General Hydroponics (just like AN)

ive been doing it in tube but with no hose. i like it. just run faucet thru them. ill let the dry out more. what are your thoughts on ppm?

My friend, who has shared all this info with me uses a 3:1:1 top soil, vermiculite, perlite mixture with 2 tablespoons of dolomite lime per 3 gallon pot. He doesn't worry about ppm at all, he just flushes about once a month and starts with the nutrients as the plants start to yellow, he gets about an ounce per plant, he'd probably do better with a ppm meter, he does well enough and doesn't have a ton of time to be messing with more meters and adjusting, pH is the limit.

He always pasteurizes his soil in the oven at 350 degrees, mixing every ten minutes, before mixing with the vermiculite and everything else, that helps reduce mildew, fungus and bugs I think

cool thanks. Im wondering what i should be running the feed at, it was at 300 cause i was scared of burn now if its just overwatered than i should be able to hit with more nute when they dry out. i mixed 10 gallons at 425 ppm for feeding tomorrow, i can add more if you think it will help?

Based on how often its getting fed, I don't think its underfeeding at all.

The parameters of your grow tell us nothing is going wrong, unless your ph meter is on the fritz or something, which does happen.

I have however personally (in the field not on forums) seen drip-clean cause lockouts and yellowing on plants in soil-less mediums like coco and sphagnum based mixes. Due to its ability to linger in those mediums and interact with new feedings.

Coco doesn't have a problem with salts building up anyhow since it drains so well, skipping the drip clean should clear this up considering your plants look almost completely healthy and everything else in your room sounds fine.

I just checked everything after a water late last night after a dry out. hit with a 450 ppm nute phed to 5.8 and they are all looking very yellow in color. looks like a nitrogen deficiency. thing im underfeeding still. they are 3 weeks old now and just dont seem happy. ill eliminate the drip clean and see what they do.
