This afternoon I was sitting in front of the PC logged on to this site.....half baked....and I heard a knock on the door....not one knock.....but a tirade of knocks.

I thought ...who the fuck is this?

So I went down stairs....should have put the joint out, but I didn't.

With joint and can of beer in hand I opened the front door...and lo and behold...a rep from RED-LIVING ENERGY was at the front door.

I said " what do you want "

And for the next 1/2 hour I actually listened to this bloke....if I wasn't in the stoned frame of mind I would have just said " fuck off "

So he was crapping on about kilowatt usage and the price I PAY with my current provider, which I have no problems with.

At the end of all this shit he wanted and virtually insisted I sign a document transferring my current energy provider to them.

By this time I was getting my head around it.

So I said " FUCK OFF "

Fuck you RED-LIVING ENERGY

The nerve of some of these providers is unbelievable

yer they get alot of folks with their aggressive sales approach, esp the eldery n good natured peeps who cannot standup for themselves, they are trained by these companies and it should be stopped.

The only time it is good is if it is a hot chick, I just stare at their tits and they soon get the point. Phone companies are just as bad.

BTW census coming up soon, there will collectors getting about to drop off n pick up.

I tend to allow these jokers enough leeway to say "hi" then Ill tell them Im not interested. If they push Ill tell em to fuck off.
However in this new place Im living the hallway to the front door is really long, I dont hear people knock and Ive hidden the doorbell. Friends know they can just come in anytime and if they arent sure they mostly know where the doorbell is...handy

I get lots of idiots calling me at work trying to sell ink and toners for printers. Same thing there, Ill nicely greet them and then tell them to go away as nicely as possible.

If I want their product I will research it myself and get the best deal.

I think its getting to the stage where its worth keeping an eye on old friends or relatives that could be prone to this crap. I think you will find most of these contracts or schemes have cooling off periods.

TBH I think the census is a good thing. I just wish people would be more honest when they filled them out and stopped worrying about being targetted or the like.

Yes, it is the elderly and some others who will get pressured into signing contracts like this, without thinking, just to get rid of them.

In fact I'm going to write a letter of complaint to this mob about their harassment and intimidation tactics.

This really irks me, they are just preying on people...and even if they are cheaper than my current provider....I'm not changing...FUCK EM...and I'm letting everyone around here know about it.

It would be nice to have a choice.

I have no choice who my utility providers are. My electricity provider has been caught several times charging more than allowed and had to pay us back for it. When there is a monopoly on something they are only allowed to have so much profit. I wish they would apply those rules to my internet provider. I'm paying double what I was 3 years ago for high speed internet.

The first convinced my housemate to change things over to them, the last two, as soon as i have opened the door and seen them i say no thanks and just shut the door again.
