What is more efficient? air cooling 12 1000 watters,,,or going bare bulb and letting ac cool hte room,,,i want to assume the ac would pull more juice,,the ac is a stealth 5 ton,,,the ballasts are all digital 1000 watters and using sunmaster 1000 watt bulbs,,,wanted to do a flip flop but with that size of ac i can run 12k easy and not waste co2 like i would have if i did a flip flop thinking of just going straight 12 k perpetual,,,,gradually turning more lights on in the flowerrom til its running the full 12k,,,then just keep it going and always keep it 12 k,,i am in a basement so its already realtively cool in there,,,but any advice or help will be appreciated,,,peace
if i need to give more info on room setup just let me know,,peace

If your going to vent the lights (outside>inside>lights>outside) this would be cheaper.

As far as happier plants......bare bulb and AC the room, or even better, lots of air flow from a cool place or outside and little AC.

Remember the temp range that you want to be in, as well as RH. This is expressed as VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit).

So all things being equal, if I were you, the first thing I would do is figure out what the RH is on a long term basis in your grow area, then figure out your heat load. Then look on a VPD chart and see where you think that you can control the environment based on the chart.

It is a lot easier to control temp than RH. If your in the right location, you can make temp adjustments based on RH to stay in the proper range on the VPD chart and stay under 80 F.

aircooled shades with insulated ducting running on a duct circuit that is completely separate from your room will take a huge load off your A/C.

a couple powerful inline fans venting that hot air off the bulbs is far more energy efficient than running an AC to cool everything.
