maintaining strains w/o any plants? tissue cloning?

I need to shut down and would like to find a way to save my strains for a few weeks. I cant put clones in the fridge since I keep nothing at my own house.

I have read about tissue cloning. would this work?

All else fails I am going to find some place outside, throw them out there and leave them there. Maybe they will be there when I need clones....

putting them outside is risky business if you ask me

I don't think tissue cloning has advanced enough for it to be practical. From what I understand, each plant species needs a certain diet for it to be successful, and it takes a long time.

If you keep nothing at your house, I guess outside is the only option for you. I would make sure to fence them in and put them in bigger pots. They might start blooming over the next few weeks depending on how early they are.

yeah, tissue cloning is not at a point where it's feasible.. and I've only heard of a few success on tissue cloning.. also you need a sterile place to work with...

maybe if you told us more we could help? house inspection? parents? cops? vacation?

there is no way to keep any plant no matter how small in the house? rubbermaid with a floro or led replacement?

outside, I think they will dry up in a matter of days, unless you threw them under some shaded trees, and got a battery operated watering thingy ( hard to explain , its an auto watering device that runs off battery ) with a huge reservoir..

2 weeks is pretty tough to go without being there for your plant off of a controller...

I would like to hear what others have to say

the grow house is blown, loose lips, long story so nothing there, that has to be cleaned up 100%. I do not keep anything where I live, no ifs and's or buts.

Outside would be somewhere else, off a side road, in a field, I dont know. They would be planted in the ground, not maintained and hope for the best....

I really am not sweating it as the genetics were nothing special, but the AK was a good yielder. I am hoping to start in a new spot with a whole new set of protocols but will have a small break.

Does your state have any sort of medical scene? You may be able to donate genetics to somebody in exchange for a couple clones of it later on perhaps?

well good your playing is safe..

yeah, hope for the best is about all you can do.. find a place under a tree with lots of shade, if this is about survival, don't let them get much direct sun contact if only filtered light at all. and water them when you can / if you can

good luck, I've moved so many times ( couldn't take clones ) so I know what it feels like to have to basically dump your plants, in your case yours might make it, but I've moved across oceans so no way at all for me..
