Hi All,

Well the faireys have been kind to me and I will soon own a very rare cut called generals daughter which I have been wanting for ages :) Does anybody on here know much about the strain Generals Daughter [G13 X Northern Lights] X Cinderella 99 As I have heard the smoke is out of this world? Smoke reports will be much appreciated :thank you::ying:

Here is some pics of the bud just wish I had smelly vision lol:

Found an interesting post by the breeder:

General's Daughter is indeed a cross of (G13 x Northern Lights) x Cinderella 99. The
G13nl was '97 vintage cross bred by NCGA, the C99 a '99 vintage cubed hybrid bred by
Soul. The "breeding event" was a typical one-to-one closet cross of best individuals
of a 10-seed lot. That's important: this cross is best grown out, clone mothers
selected, flowered and smoked - but not bred. Genetically they are dead ends, or
cans-o-worms, depending on your perspective. If you want to recreate GD, best to
try to retrace my steps with a G13 clone or S****'s G13 x Hashplant than do a
sibling cross from a 10-seed pack of GD.

I grew the G13nl because it was as close to the original and much-hyped "Airborne"
clone of G13 as I could acquire at the time. I wanted to explore the strain not for
the hype so much. I believe none of the government-bred nonsense. It overestimates
the abilities and misunderstands the motivations of the U.S. cannabis research
program. The aim is to grow uniformly-potent, as opposed to highly potent, cannabis
for researchers and the two dozen or so officially-sanctioned medical mj patients in
the U.S. from a now-suspended med mj program of twenty years ago. The patients
often have commented on how weak the official dope is compared to modern black
market cannabis. Plus, the steamy Mississippi delta lowlands where the program is
located is completely wrong for the outdoor development of high-THC strains, from
everything we know. All the environmental selectors there would push populations
toward hemp rather than Haze.

Nonetheless, several credible reports had been circulated, starting with Airborne
himself in the early days of the online mj community, mainly on USENET, who raved
about the clone he had grown since the early 80s. Fast, stretchy but good yielding,
with a devasting psychoactivity that was unlike any other. Airborne shared his clone
and more good reports rolled in, along with some caveats. Mainly, the taste was
horrible, oily and acrid. Also that the stretch during initial flowering could make
for a spindly, "popcorn bud" profile, ok for SOG growers, but not a well suited for
less-dense cultivation methods. But the reports of high potency and a unique
psychoactivity seemed to be confirmed with each new grower.

So I popped a pack of ncga's G13nl cross and bred the best mother against my
favorite Cinderella 99 breeder male. The C99 has a perfect stature and heavy flower
clusters. The G13nl mother was, well, less perfect. Leggy, with poor bud formation
mainly. Smoking the cured bud revealed another drawback: an acrid taste. Her one
impressive trait was the high. A strong, indica-influenced psychoactive high unlike
I had experienced before. A body-high that picks you up and moves you around your
space rather than locking you down. I call it the magic carpet ride high.

The result of the cross I call General's Daughter. Vic High of BCGA has used a G13
clone mom crossed with a C99 male to create a similar, probably more stable and more
"G" cross called Killer Queen I believe.

The Killer Queen bit is interesting at the bottom. Mmmmmm

There's a thread on uk420 all about it, with links to grows, infos and stuff. Seems people are growing this cross over there or something.

Check it out, thread is called "generals daughter" lol.

Grew one out about 10 years ago, was from fleur du mal seeds, the only thing i can remember about it was the yield, it had an absolutely massive central cola that was like someones leg. I do remember it had a really good rep back then.

Sounds interesting mate :) I know that Baudelaire who made the strain disappeared due to people giving him stick over his strains and seeds? So Northern General might be someone else's hack? She will be in my possession by the end of this week so I think some interesting crosses can be made with her :)

In Baudelaire's post he says:

I first grew GD many years ago, when Baudelaire was still in circulation. Sadly i lost my Mother plant; however a kind friend had her in Mother format, and has let me have a replacement cut.

I regard it very highly indeed, both as recreational and medicinal weed. Its a fabulous, tasty smoke, and the hit is equal to anything else out there and probably a lot better than most.

Grow wise, expect big chunky colas to develop really fast, and the frosting is quite stupendous. I find GD can be taken for harvest at anything between 56 and 77 days, according to preference. I am currently smoking a 56 day specimen. Lovely! But I suspect I prefer 63 or 70 days for chopping.

Good luck with her.
