How deep did you plant them?
What kind of soil did they go into?
Usually a good moistening is sufficient when the seeds are planted. If you gave em more then it is possible they rotted. But 3 days is kinda borderline, I start getting concerned about then, but some seeds just take longer. Give em some more time... I've had seeds that I gave up on and tossed and then a couple weeks later have em sprout in the compost bin.

Yeap What he said.. i must spread again..

I hav had problems along these lines with purchased seeds. I will not buy from those companies ever again.

{shameless plug} My GrindHouse beans cracked overnight, with 100% germ rate... Good genitics and fresh product IMHO

I may be misunderstanding your message all together but, incase I'm not. Initially, I think it is univerally accepted that we want to have the light(s) on 24 hours a day - all day, everyday. You can even put the light very close, inches sometimes, to the top of the plant to maximize the lumens. The type of light, weak fluorescent (sp?) ranging to a HighPressureSodium bulb, will determine how close you can put the light (the temperature is what determines how close...you don't want to let the tops get too hot!).

Some people also will include a dark period. For maximum veg I'd say the longest you'd want your dark period would be 6 hours. So that is 18 hours on, 6 hours off, often displayed as 16/8. I've recently seen a thread where someone had posted that they got their best results from a 20/4 (20 hours lights on, 4 hours lights off) light cycle. Dark period will cut electricty cost and the environment is cooler in the dark, so that's something to keep in mind.

Personally I do 24 hours on, because I'm greedy and impatient! lol.

Keep the lights on from the very beginning - even if the plant has not broken the soil yet. Gravity naturally gets the roots going down and the opposite is true for the top portion of the plant - it will know that light is there above ground and get itself growing and trying to reach the light!

3cm is a little deep IMO.

I germ my seeds in water first and then once i see the root i plant them 1cm deep. If after a couple of days i'm not seeing any thing i carfully pull up the soil and check all is ok.

Some of my seeds this year are comiong close to 10 years old and took over a week to germ.. and then after that initial growth was very very slow.

THC,
Think it time to take a look at them...End the worry, restart them, a little bit shallow than before..May do the trick...I have found just laying them on top the dirt, then sprinkle a bit of EWC on them,a quick spray with some water and look out...:jump: :jump:

Peace,

How did you germinate the seeds? Or did you just plant em without germinating?

they probably dried out, water the whole pot till water comes out before you plant them. if you don't see anything still in a couple days or something, find the seed so you can determine what happened and let us know what you find.
