So iv been making several batches of bho since my last couple harvests using the same strains and butane. Iv always got a pretty uiniform produck when i was done. earwaxxy buttery or kinda glassy. this time it came out like the green jolly rancher lol wtf? i use a pretty small screen this has never happened. is it chloriphil?

Need to know more, did you use hole nugs or grinded material? If the material was more broken up its possible more chloriphil got in yes. Some strains have a nice red color, never heard of a green color that wasnt from plant material getting in somehow.

from what ive read butane does not dissolve the chlorophyl on BHO extractions, could be wrong but pretty sure ive heard that..
and it all tasted/smelld the same 
That is true i belive greenstar, iv never came out with a product like this. the bud was slightly broken up like it always is. fresh and frozen bud w/ light trim.. ill get a pic up when i get a chance. though perhaps its just so vibrant green when bunched up into a log. odd though..
I also observed this phenomenon, but could not find a reasonable explanation for it.
Next day sepals were dried and seeds were separated easy. I extracted this special parts of the flowers by butane via tube-type extractor.
I've had electric green BHO before as well, without knowing exactly what happened, but my experimenting with butane recovery may lend some clues, in that my longer soaks pick up more green hue than short soaks.
I have never had an analysis done, but infer that the green is from chlorophyll and that the most likely culprit is the very slight solubility of water in butane.

With decarboxylated bud previously eaten a little by mites, a Soxhlet extraction, and petroleum ether, maybe 5-10 drops of fine insoluble green material was carried out first in a very distinct band through the little outlet tube, which instantly dissolved in and colored electric green indeed the virgin solvent in the boiling flask. All of the remaining extraction was pure yellow, but the whole solution still turned out green.
