What's new

My overcrowded tent.

This is my first grow using a tent and it certainly has been a learning experience. It a 5'x5'x7' secret jardin and I have 9 plants in 7gal smartpots...too many..lol Cooling isn't too bad its keeping the humidity down thats a challenge.
I have Chimera- GFxBB x 3, TGA- Qrazy Train x 2, Cheese Quake x 2, Barney's Farm- Pineapple Chunk Fem x 1 and last but not least GN collection courtesy of Dutchgrown- G13 IX x 1. All are at 30 days flower.

Nice full tent you have there.

Just started my second round in a tent. They got scrogged out this time, last round the got way too tall. There was also too many different phenos, so some were short and some stretched past the light.

What kind of temps are you able to keep with the lights on?

Despite being crowded, that looks like a very nice setup. I use a 3.3 x 3.3 Jardin tent and love it. I usually put 4-5 plants in and they have plenty of space. Next run keep everything the same but have only 6 plants and you'll be all set.

Lovely Darkstarlive.
Looks perfect, you can never have too many plants.ha.
What wattage are they under?and got any favs yet?
Happy growing

Thanks guys.
Cave: I'm running a 1000w Lumatek bulb and I can keep lights on temp around 80-85 and lights off temp is around 78-82.
The lights off temp is a little high because I have to close up the tent for 6hrs of the dark period and I have a small dehumidifier hanging in there and the heat from it pushes the temps up.

Mr Biggs: Its a 1000 watter and I really like the GFxBB but I also love the smell of the Cheese Quake, anything with Cheese in it smell good.

Peace..

looks really good and healthy. I would trim off the lower branches, the ones in the pic you can obviously see are not budding to promote more energy to top growth and stop sucking energy to them, cus their is alot of scraglers down below in that pic. how long you veg? and how tall are they now?

Turbo: correct, the lower branches won't produce but to cut them at this stage of flowering would add to much stress and risk problems.

The tallest is over 5ft. I definitely waited too long to flip to flower, the GFxBB were over 2ft tall when I flipped.

What type olf dehumidifier r u using in there? U mentioned that u run one for part of dark cycle...thanks!

Looks good, better to be over crowded than not have enough plants.

You've got a nice canopy, how long did you veg for?

Im on my first run with a 1k vertical bare bulb in a 5x8 tent, my temps are about the same as yours with lights on. My yield wont be so spectacular this run tho because my plants didnt stretch out enough at flip. I'd much rather have some tall trees like you got.

Irie & Iron: I vegged for a few days short of two months from germination. I had to move all my flowering gear and I didn't get ready to flip until about 2-3 weeks later than I usaully flip to flower.
I have a 25 pint/day dehumidifier to run when I close up the tent for approx six hours. The tent is in my garage and that is where I also have my vegging clones/plants so I have to zip up the door on the tent when the lights come on for the veggers. I used to flower in a spare bedroom but that space was reclaimed by my wife so my only alternative was to get a tent. Without the dehuey my RH in the tent with the door closed gets upto 70% or higher, not good for flowering plants.

Yea I am in a similar situation wheere my veg is in the same area as bllom tent so I gotta zip it up @ nites. My rh would be in the 70-80% range in the morning when I opened. Thankfully I didn't run into any mold or bud rot probs but might look into gettin a small dehuy to remedy that. Shoot me a link to someting what like u got so I can check it out if u don't mind. Thanks again!

Sweet man, nice pics...I just recieved my secret jardin DR150ii, same tent as you i guess.

How do you have that black fan hooked up? Does it oscillate? I am using a floor fan in mine but it takes up too much space...could fit another plant in the space that the fan takes up.

MTBazz: Yes, it oscillates. No space on the floor either. I took an 8" table fan and screwed it to some 3/4"x3" wood strips so I could hang it upside down from the top of the tent.

Irie: Here is where I got the dehuey, its a bit pricey but for the size of the unit and my space constraints and to have a continuous drainage option its working good for me.

I pulled 6 of the 9 out to water tonight and took some pix. I apologize for the quality of the pix, I waited a day too longer than usaul to water and the girls are droopy as hell. I'm battling high temps during the night cycle and its beating up my girls a bit.
