Is less really more?

Hi everyone. I have a couple questions about 6" x 7'' Hydrofarm square pots. What kind of yield can I expect with these 1-2L pots?
I will be filling them with straight coco and feeding them PBP Bloom and Magical.. I plan on hand watering these and babying the shit out of them.
The reason I am using these small pots is cause the plants will be in a 3 x 3 Homebox S.
I have never Flowered with such little pots before and am wondering if I am better off using my 9- 2 gallon airpots with less plants or 18 of these little squares with more plants. Either way im only gonna veg for a week at most, then flip em, so it will be sea of green style either way.
Is less plants really more yield?
Can I pull an ounce outa a 6" x 7" or am i just dreaming? My strain yields well by the way.. Sour Apple x HeadBand, its a gem I tell ya

hey whats up Jojo u will be fine with the hydrofarm pots. Ive used ones pretty close to that size 8x8 (3l?) and got well over an oz per with straight coco and H&G nutes very minimal additives (once or twice in bloom). Good vibez

Thanx for the response.. I really appreciate it. I have decided to go half n half.. Your affirmation Irie_Lion is most appreciated.. Im gonna document the results as I am completely intrigued with the these little pots.. this will be a good comparison between larger n smaller pots. I am going to do half airpots. I just gotta,lol
This is personal meds, I have no agenda or expectations. I am going to dial in and baby the shit outa these.. I have never been so exited about a strain or method, or the combo of both together this is gonna be epic..I cannot wait.

I think my pots are 7x7. Hmmm. Two oz a piece. Those were under a 1000W though. Now if I could only do that with 48 pots in there instead of just 7 pots.

FWIW, you'll be married to your hand watered grow in small pots. My guess is that root ball size isn't the only reason people use larger pots when hand watering.

I know, I am choosing to do so. That's why I am asking if the 9 2 gallon airpot's will out yield 18 Hydrofarm 6" squares..
Its all about space at this point. I don't want the plants to overgrow the tent and shade them selves in the bigger pots, that is my only worry with the airpot's.
