i went to the room today and was blown away by the frost on some of these strains. in 2 days the trichs have exploded layering on themselves... the edges of leaves are already caked up!
also a couple chems have been discovered that i thought were decaps until yesterday. pretty cool. more chem for me. lol i was sure i had at least 2 n suspect on some others that werent labeled... turns out there were at least 4 others lol. they look damn similar in veg and its not until flower week 3 that leaves elongate and lighten in color on the chems and become evident that they may be chems after all. by week 5 it is totally obvious as bud structure continues to mature and crystal formation is a bit more aggressive on leaves of the chem, 1 glancing touch and a sniff sets it in concrete with very distinct smelling strains. it truely is funny that i read all this organic shit about how it just tastes better and more diverse... my experience tells a different tale. my stains are all fed the same(i admit a few need extra N. whether they get it is another story) and they all have distinct totally unrelated smells and tastes using chelated salts for food. im tired of reading mis info on this subject-taste n smell. organically grown weed is fine, so is mine. imo mine tastes better but that is a biased IMO. according to the last 420 cup the judges agree too. 1st and 2nd place use nearly identical scheduals and i think that says something... sorry for the rant i just read a few articles todaythat slammed weed grown the way i choose to grow on tasting all the same especially hydroponically or in inert mediums like coco. BS we haved proved this false

and yeah i grow using the organic method and my friend grows in GH 2 part and they taste pretty similar...but my FFOF SFV does have a more minty aftertaste according to most people who smoke it, and the taste lasts through the joint...my samples at the LV cup werent flushed long enogh and had been speed dried in the LV sun so i think thats why it only placed 7th lol...but i do taste good hydro for sure...just switched one of my lights to coco drip fed with lucas formula...

Well the clowns that say hydro and coco don't taste as good as soil are smoking cannabis that wasn't properly flushed. I agree with you, well grown coco and hydro kill soil for taste and quality. Let the snobs think what they will, there is no way their room looks as good as yours.
h&g's the way to be, but I'll tell ya I've been pretty tempted to give canna a try.

Yeah, that's BS for sure. I use coco and maxi grow and every strain can be identified by smell, some really strong, and others say the buds reek more than anything else they come across, esp the C4 lol. After reading your last post, you got me thinking about switching up my nutes to H and G.

I'll be harvesting my first crop of H&G grown bud in a couple weeks. Through veg and up
until now in flower they look pretty much identical to the PBP bud I've been growing for the
last couple years. I'm interested to see what the flavors like. For anyone who's interested
I'm using H&G soil a&b and the rest of their stuff so it's a complete H&G grow. I even
bought the shooting powder so there wouldn't be any non H&G amendments. It's hard to pay
for that roots excellerator but you use very little so it goes a long way. Same with the Drip
Clean. By the way ur garden looks great!

hazy- its pricey and more work to figure out what is dialed truely but even before dialed u will notice an increase in just about everything, except size. i lost tiny bit of yeild at first but quality went way up. i was already killing it IMO and i switched and wont go backwards now. i may try other new stuff on the side but h n g is bread n butter for me. i say go for it if in budget.
Nuggy- i gotta say u have dirt down to a science. the best soil weed i have laid eyes on. gets as frosty as anything but the guanos make it all taste the same. i know u switched to h n g but u are still in soil. i have no opinion on that side of the nutes... i bet improvements occur just eliminating guano from the equation and using a booster. i use MOAB or powder KoolBloom works just fine i know if u switched to automated coco and h n g u would never look back. u say u like to be able to be lazy.... manifold and mix 1x a week doesnt get any easier, ive left for a week on older grows and was fine. heat is killing my cloning btw so i leave door open in veg room. lost 5 degrees in there and whoa does that help things. ill try again when my lil bushes grow up some. gotta say the sour dub clones like a cockroach lives a nuclear winter couldnt hold those bitches back lol
