Why delete threads that are simple reasonable questions about customer privacy?

My question was simple - if ICMag values its customers privacy and safety why hasn't it updated this forum software (which is riddled with vulnerabilities that expose ALL users here) in over 2.5 years?

Why BIN this question??? Gypsy wouldn't have but I know he's in SEAsia at the mo as I was chatting to him just two days ago.

All I ask is a MATURE REPLY from a MATURE ADULT, and if ICMag DO value customer privacy then they'd have NO problems addressing the issue.

I'm not violating the Terms Of Use by posting a thread enquiring as to my safety. It is a legitimate security question, and one that should not be rolled under the carpet by admins, but dealt with in a mature, transparent and most importantly responsible manner, because the sensitive data of every customer here relies on them to keep us secure.

they binn the threads if they think its a TOU violation or from trolls and fights/arguments. TOU are interpreted by them not us. I dont see why they are binning your threads??

cyberwax, your thread was deleted first, so I posted a much simpler version - a simple question really, no source code or anything. But then that was deleted, too. The question is in my first post in this thread, and it's a legitimate security question that should be answered maturely and responsibly by a moderator rather than simply binning it, because the issue of this forum software being 2.5 years old will NEVER go away simply by binning threads where customers simply inquire as to the state of their safety and privacy.

The solution is so simple - update the forum software, and do it regularly. Customer privacy and security relies on it, so there is no excuse for letting 2.5 years go by without an update.

I'll handle this one......

Not a one of you people posting these conspiracy threads have any knowlege of what upgrades have been done to this site in the past two years. If you had you'd know how stupid you sound.

Now, if I see one more of these someone better show me all the passwords that have been hacked or the obvious tons of people that have been arrested.

If you truly felt threatened here I'm sure you would have deleted your account.... I'm going to close this thread until OP chimes in........

Edit..... To the people that have sent me PM's. We will have OP answer your concerns but I can assure you we have done numerous upgrades to the site and I see no reason for anyone to be concerned.... I can recall only two people being arrested in the last few years and that is because they gave their personal information to other members against site policy. As most of you know we take member security quite seriously and will continue to do so....
