Extra N in whatever form! EWC sounds great...You can help by feeding her veg tea/solution until she's completely finished her stretch...I find her CalMag hungry also...The extra N in Botanicare's CalMag+ seems to kill 2 birds w/ one bottle...:2cents:

you dont want her green till the end you want her to fade yellow, the leaves will curl up twords the light during a good flush........to me the best sour is a sour that looks beaten up at the end.......but if you wanna keep her green then feed her heavier N enven in flower.

Yea the sour needs that extra nitrogen later into flower than alot of other strains. N's like the equivalent of protein for humans, its always needed a bit in all phases of growth...and yea yellow em up at the end I like when they end up gettin pale yellow and not so crispy, but I been there for sure at the end w/ out any fans left lol

Tcalion/relentless, yea Sour undialed can be very mediocre, well grown she's top notch. I'm still not there with her on a perfect run; come to think of it Ive bever had a perfect go with her, but my idea of perfect keeps changing as I learn this plants needs. with sour you are only limited by your skills, and the sour doesn't perform unless you bring it

I'm going to totally agree with that, the ecsd def does not give it up easily, you have to want it, a chem just about grows itself and always smells great but the diesel is picky as hell.I won't even bother in the summertime, it's just asking for trouble.

My ECSD is yellowing but not terribbly bad.... It's at week 6 I started on CNS's ripe to early on it because I didn't want to mix separate just for 2 4 gallon pots of SD but she fuckin smells great! So fucking fat and greasy.

I have three nice cuts just rooted in and growing perfectly in coco.I'm making an all out effort to veg into the summer then flip by mid August.I've had 3 great runs, just like it should be, then I've had about 5 or so half decent or total failures from mites, PM, heat, grower error.I'm not going to let this girl beat me, njo way.I want to devote one year solid to ecsd, chems sister and chem D.Hopefully I'll be able to hold these cuts until I'm too old and broken to grow, I'm looking for a SCreme n' Dawg cut or seedstock, I know CBF is making another batch for next year but somebody must have a cut that blows doors down.:)

I mean, its not like I want her to be super super green at the end, I understand how the flush process works, I more mean I dont wanna lose all my green, and in turn, my fan leaves half way thru bloom. just have to keep feedin her N untill shes done stretchin. I used to feed her the same as the rest with no yellowing at all. weird.

High n Chaco, I agree w you guys. I guess the nutes/conditions I used to have were more favorable for the deez. she used to be my gem, no questions asked. so thats totally true, if shes not dialed, or you dont have a great run w her, shes just not the same. still great tho. but the trained eye/grower knows the deal. I noticed a big time decrease in resin/greasy/sticky when it gets too hot, or too close to the light.

Are you guys sure your not using enough stakes ?? hehe

Think one of you guys need to design a special "diesel cage" instead of all those stakes , lol....have never come closer to poking my eye out bending in to do close work than with those green bamboos, so many times .... which really wakes you up. Some kind of modified tomato cage especially for this wild vine ?

Tx for all the tips & tops here , keep em comin !

nice n ripe :biglaugh:

The future of my ecsd growing lies in these 4 cuts, so far they look nice.I havn't grown it in coco yet and I have a 3x3 closet setup with a bare 600 in the middle, I'm going to flower them at 12" in 2 gal coco containers. The outdoor plants are growing wild, waving everywhere and already stinking up the other side of town.:)

Here is a couple of pic's of my 4SD. I'm struggling with the sweltering summer heat to keep my water temps down, and have found a few more than normal banana's/nanner's popping out from its gooey pistils..

It doesn't overly concern me, most all of them are duds. It does point out though that these diesel bitches do not take kindly to being stressed.........:comfort:

Thanks for the tips MP and Chaco mine turned out fairly good this run, have a lot to learn on getting this one up to par, just chopped her at 75 days today. So far Id have to say my cut of SDbx1.5 Is ECSD on steroids .....but will see how the ECSD smokes when she is dry and cured a bit.

Stay safe

Why do folks say that ecsd is not good for breeding? I realize it has a bit of unstableness in it, but is there any other reason?

You would think that being a poly hybrid it would be all over the place but seems that the dawg/diesel shines through in crosses. I will say that one person I know did a breeding project w/ ECSD X NL, and the original cross proved to be much superior to the backcross to the sour. Even old NYCD crossed out will show some deez. Look at Casey Jones...heavy sour influence; but yea getting into mutliple bx's and incrosses could get complicated

SuperSize, you're going to have your hands full!!This round I started small with 4 ecsd and a few chem D's around this 600.I just flipped them yesterday and they grew an inch overnight.Looking foward to see how they come out in this setup.
