I've got a vegging area with a 4x4 tray and a 16 light badboy t-5 ...

In another room I have a 4x8 tent with a 24 bucket flo n gro system. my goal is to setup this grow so that while i am flowering, i will be vegging new clones to plop right into the flo-n-gro system when I harvest the current plants.

my question is; what is the best way to veg my clones for about a month under these t5 in my 4x4 tray while im flowering?

i was thinking maybe just using like 6inch net pots with hydroton or some type of soilless medium until they are ready to go into the hydrosystem. but thats why im asking, im not sure. Any tips?

yeah either that or like you said net cups of hydroton, then toss the net cup into the system

Smart pots filled with hydroton. When the time comes toss the smart pot right in the bucket.

im using 1 gal smart pots filled with hydroton in a 4x4 flood tray, the problem is that the flood tray only floods the bottom of the pots, how can i water the tops? as of now im just using a cup full of res water for each plant 2x a day lol

I have some 1 gall smart pots in one of my flood trays right now too. I don't see any reason they have to be flooded higher up. What problems are you having?

well i just put the cube into the pot of hydroton and it only waters the bottom 3-4 inches of the pot leaving the top high and dry, are you using black or white trays?

I have black 3x3 American Hydroponics trays. With 3 spacers on the flood fitting they flood 4". The #1s are 5.5" tall so it floods most of the pot. I also have a bunch of #5s that i roll the top down to the bottom making them 5" tall.
