Ambient temps in the tent with it all closed up are about 77 max so far, but there's no equipment yet. Trying to figure out how to AC the tent\basement with no windows for 2 x 600's. You think the exhaust from a portable would drift through the wood and upstairs and keep the tent\basement cool?

what are you guys using to vent your 4x8 (XXL) tents? Do you AC?

I use an 8in fan across glass enclosed reflectors .. Blockbusters

I run one 600 and two 400 in one 4x8 no heat issues but I am in the mountains so my ambient temps are lower..

portable ac work great tho, I own one just never need it..

here is mine, I consider it pretty organized. Its a modular scrog, 3x 5 gal grow bags in each trough with the legs to the scrog frame in the trough. Each trough can be slid out of the tent and rotated, easily tend to the plants and water them.

I only have a fan and a light and the cords run up and straight out of the tent.

Not an actual grow tent, but an old portable iceshack with a new job. 600W aircooled lamp, and a fan are all that goes inside besides plants. Ballast and power bar are outside, cords go thru rear zipper door to inside.

A little warm to start er up yet, we are having a heatwave. She runs 10F above ambient - in the basement ATM, ambients are approx. 72-74. Waiting for it to drop back into the 60's, maybe in Aug or Sept.

Then off we go, got a bunch of c99 crosses to try. Tents rule for small gardens imo. No damage to houses like large rooms can do (mold etc)...

Sorry for dark pix, it is a basement. Not much to see inside ATM anyhow... :rasta:

Peace

Cloud11 - I like that PVC pipe. Brilliant idea, I hope I don't have to go back to using my tent but if I do that pvc pipe is in like flin.

1+ for taking all the electrical outlets, ballasts etc out of the tent. Less heat and less chance of humidity causing a short.

Find out what the max amount you extend wiring for lights etc by and extend wiring instead.

There IS a method to this madness...

5' x 10' x 7' tent, two 600w HPS; (16) 5Gal buckets, a bunch of smart pots, had to remove two 5Gal buckets to get the shots.
