Cannabis Cup Dream Team - Super Lemon Haze and ....

Hope you have more head room than i did. My TD is in flower, i started 12/12 on day 21, and they are four feet, probably closer to five but i had to bend them, because they were growing into the light, they are still to close to the light, but ive got to wait for my warlock, and poison to finish to have any room to bend them more.

Hey everyone!

Haven't updated in a while, but I'm stuck in veg with these fine specimens until my flowering tent is empty. I've got the last of my bagseed in there right now just finishing up. I'm trying to leave it in longer to see if the bud will be any better... here she is at 56 days:

NOTE: This is just shitty bagseed!

As for the Tangerine Dream and Super Lemon Haze here they are at 54 days after seed:

One thing I've noticed this time around, maybe it's the airpots, maybe it's the genetics -- maybe both, but my stalks are now much meatier than on the bagseed plant. Here's a shot of the stalk on the flowering bagseed, at day 56 (started in a party cup):

kfeRrl.jpg

And here's one of the new ones (SLH and TD are almost the same circumference - both started in the airpots):

gDeXml.jpg

Here's a measurement of the bagseed (first black mark) and the SLH/TD (2nd mark) -- almost a half inch difference:

Neat!

I've taken a few clones of each already last week and they are surviving nicely in the humidity dome so far (3x TD on the left are looking better than the 4x SLH on the right, admittedly):

And a better shot of the 4x SLH on the right:

It'll be another couple weeks until I get them into flower so I will have to keep topping them until then.

That's it for now!

your clones will do better with less leaf area, you can do it the way you are doing it. it's just easier on the plant with less surface area.
to maintain that much leaf the stem has to transport more water to keep them alive. smaller is better and faster.

there are better explainations out there but they all mean what I said, but with bigger words and maybe some latin thrown in to sound cool

Thanks for the karma. Glad to hear you didn't lose all your girls, and mighty nice to hear that your house didn't burn down! I've gotta devise an auto-watering system soon myself so I can go up to the lake and do some fishing! I'm looking forward to seeing how your setup did while you were away.

Great looking plants! I Look forward to following along!

Thanks!

I've been holding off on updating just because my flowering tent is occupied and I don't want to bore people with constant veg updates. :) Glad to hear you were able to cut some clones before everything went to shit. I've never started a seed in dirt, but every one I've started in rockwool has turned out fine -- maybe try that before you put it into the soil?

I took your word on this (even without the latin!) and cut a lot of the leaves down. I left one with everything intact as a control so I can observe.

The bagseed colas are minimum 6 inches and maximum about 9. They are fattening up on the ends still more and more. There are about 7 or 8 bunched up in that picture. I wonder if it's just a really long sativa strain that I didn't let run it's course the last time... I couldn't guess at a strain name -- it's definitely got a distinct citrus smell. The genome will die with this girl sadly because I've just got too many good seeds to choose from now.

They have been great to work with so far. I'll take some pics of the rootballs when I transplant these two to the bigger 5L airpots. I hand-water once a day for the 1L airpots (once every two or three days for the 5L) and collect the runoff to reuse it. I pH it everytime and so far so good. I've had great luck with the coco though, I can't recommend it enough.

I did the D girls and icecream in Wool. All poped but 2 DG's.So pretty pleased with that...1Q if i may?
Do you condition you wool b4 you plant?if so what do ya use, also do you soak wool in any type of feed b4 you clone.?
As for coco im to noob to start anything new at the moment.Got soil and 12 pot ebb system going now,but maybe in the future. And when i do i'll be comming back here to see how you did this grow lol.

Duuuuuude you are awesome. I got these airpots up in here and I am planning on flowering in 1l airpot. I wonder if you can average 10g per 1l airpot for a small sog.

any similarity to the Tangerine Cream (tangerine x purple cream) that has been going around norcal for years?

i had 2 phenos from bagseed, one was more purple, one was more tangerine... i cloned the tangerine and passed it out so i wouldnt be surprised to see it win cups considering many people say its the best tasting herb they've ever had... like straight tangerines. very bushy early-finishing indica

I soak the rockwool in my tap water which has been pH'd to around 5.8-6.0. I've seen people use additives during the rockwool soak... usually just simple stuff like Superthrive and Aquashield but I haven't tried it yet.

10g per plant seems like a very easy goal with the 1L airpots (plus a decent amount of light). Mine are still in the 1L and they are monsters (still in veg, mind you... but still). Once they dominate the small pot with their root system though you will need to water a couple times a day or they will completely dry out to the bone within 24 hours.

This strain comes from Barney's Coffeeshop in Amsterdam. Where they got their genetics is anybody's guess... however it's a small world so maybe your crop had a hand in it. Wish I could comment on the flavor and taste of what I got but she's still in veg. :(

:(

But you are talking about Coco. I was thinking of making a soilless LC#1 mix. 30% perlite 20 EWC 50% coco. I wonder if there comes a need of watering every day. I hoped it could be more like 1-2 days cuz I am going to start with fresh clones going to 12/12 right ahead. Clones dont even have the rockwool cuz theyre watercloned.

True... with a different mix everything will change and I'm in unfamiliar territory. I just checked your grow diary now and looked through your setup. Nice!

One thing though -- it looks like your airpots are put together upside-down. The big open holes should be near the bottom and the top of the airpot is supposed to have the one sealed row of holes. Fill it to the brim with your mix and pack it tight. This should minimize any water leaking out near the top when you water them.

Like so:

it's 0.6m x 0.6m or 2feet x 2feet.

I have no idea -- I haven't used LED lighting, nor have I grown lots of small plants. If I were you I would just try it and see, and document everything.

Sup Man?Did that bag seed finnish yet?
Here it is today -- it's just finished it's flush a few days ago. I could cut it today or tomorrow to start drying:

Here's the Tangerine Dream (left) and Super Lemon Haze (right) today as well. They're ready to go 12/12 whenever. I've also got one clone of each ready to replace them (not pictured).
