Can people who grow in tents post some pics of how they have organized it? Before my next grow I really want to make things neater and more in organized but am looking for ideas on how to best make that happen.

Here are some pics of my current setup.

Ummmm.....my tent is organized to the point that I don't put power strips with red LED's inside my tent, that's asking for hermies.

What? If you're going to make a statement like this could you please explain what it is you're talking about?

**EDIT** Oh is this an anti-LED statement?
Thx

What is so hard to understand? With some strains interruptions in the dark cycle will cause the plants to turn in to herms. Sometimes it takes as little as pin hole light leaks in a tent, or in this case the red LED's on the surge protectors. Some strains are more tolerant than others so there is exceptions to this rule.

Oh I see what you're saying. Don't gotta be a dick about it. The power strip in the pic is turned off when the lights are so there is no light on when the lights are off. We're kinda getting off-topic here. I asked to see pics of how people have their tents organized. Thank you for your input.

Sorry bout that, didnt mean to be. I thought you were being sarcastic, hard to tell tone thru the interwebs.

Not anti LED grow lights, just the red lights on the power strips.

plants can see red light so it's considered a "light leak" and those cause herms.

A herm is when a female drops balls.

Looks decently organized. I like all my electric outside above the tent myself, but that can't work in all situations.

Got it. Thx guys. Sadly I am familiar with herm's. I super cropped one of my plants on may last grow like 4 time's and she started to cross dress :)

I keep my tent organized and clean. This is what I do.

Set up the tent.

Layout each piece of equipment on the floor, near tent.

Install equipment one piece at a time, thinking strategically about where exactly the piece needs to go. Take time placing each piece, because once you have an efficient layout, you will most likely replicate it when setting the tent up in the future.

Once each piece of equipment is physically secured to the tent, you can focus in securing all electrical cords in an organized pattern using zipties or rope. I like to clean up all slack and hanging wires, have wires all running similar directions, tie cords together if it beneficial etc. In many cases its necessary to bring some form of power supply into the tent. I secure a power supply in the ceiling, because naturally most of the equip is located at the top of tent (fans etc)

So bottom line I think it comes down to equipment placement and also paying attention to detail when you install anything that has a cord. Cords need to thoughtfully routed and tied several times at several strategic point, so that they are out of the way.

edit Note: I also took advantage of the bars in the ceiling of the tent. Many cords and slack can be stored up there.

What I was thinking I wanted to do is make some sort of hanging wall on one side of the tent; than attaching my power strips, Air pumps and switches to that. Am just not sure what material to use for my 'wall'. Needs to be something pretty light as I don't want to put too much stress on the tent. Maybe peg board or something

I'll post pics of my tent set-up after work.

I have all of my wiring outside the tent resting ontop, and my fans are connected to the tent with ducting, not safety pins. lol

Here are some old pics of my setup. Still pretty much the same, only the subjects have changed. :tiphat:

@Clowd - What are those pipes hanging in there? Are those fans hanging on the end of them?

There are FOUR lights!

All the electrics should be outside of your tent. Less heat, less light leaks, less moisture.

Yeah NeWcS, my attempt at drawing warmer upper air down to cooler lower section while fanning the plants. The fans are only taped into place and run via speed controlers.

Kcar, LEDs dont generate enough heat to worry about heat from electrics. That black thing on the floor is a waterbed heater. As i type with fans on now for 4 hours, its only 65f in tent.

my tent

back when i was still using it..

Hydrohut silver edition, 1000w light, 4x4 botanicare table, best i ever pulled out of here was 1.7lbs of blue dream, probably could have gotten 2+ on the next run but had to tear it down

I had this tent in my bedroom at my non-grow house last year... it was like a little side project. I cant wait to set her up again when i move into a new place! running full rooms you forget how much fun is possible in a smaller space
