How many hours of supplemental lighting do i need to keep from flowering early? Do you shorten the amount of time as the days continue to get longer?

regardless of my situation if i want to keep a plant in veg i keep it on a 20 on 4 off light cycle.....its been proven to create the most vigorous/healthy plants compared to 15/9 18/6 24/0.
