Going well, thanks for asking esbe! Good timing too, cuz these ladies are getting flipped to 12/12 this week. :jump:

They're all nice and beefy, got a bit of extra veg time so they're ready to go. Planned on flowering these about a month ago, but I've had some unexpected bumps in the road. All good though, the extra time has put all 3 around 36" tall and I've cut them back a couple times, once for clones and once just to keep the height down.

Visited them yesterday to give them a light feeding, they're going into 3 or 5 gal pots of organic soil next, haven't decided exactly what size yet. Leaning towards the 5's. VScrog, stadium style with two 600s.

Here's a shot from Saturday of my fav looking one so far... who knows how she'll rank after flowering?

P.S. The male cuts rooted...

T, I saw some of your Lucifer's. Look like they came out great man. I'm pretty gassed to see what may come from the trio I got in flowering. Best of all, got a male to bring on the next generation.

Cody, went with 3 gals. Upped em and flipped em, Thursday was day 1. I'll have some photo's tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest for week 1's update.

Thanks esbe! I'm pretty excited about it. Since February I've had some issues with housing and had to move the garden around a bit so it put a bit of a delay into things. At one point it was looking like I might have to shut down but I jumped through some hoops and made things a little difficult for myself for a stretch so I could keep things rolling.

Hmm... pic won't load. Lemme try re-uploading.

Hey guys... real quick update.

Here's the photo's I couldn't get to load the other night. They were the last veg shots I took of 1 and 5 before they got transplanted. It was a rush rush moment so I didn't get great shots, making up for that with tonight's photos.

You can see the #5 was flowering a bit in veg under 18/6... has some thick clusters of hairs. More importantly, just found out today #1 is actually a dude. Little disappointed, it was vigorous as a mofo, hollow stems, had a nice smell of lemonheads and mint. Unexpected development to say the least. It was taking forever in veg but he's shown himself clearly now. That gives me 2 males now so nice bonus.

Thanks Phil! :joint:

Only got a couple usable shots from yesterday. I was in a rush and only took 9 or 10 and they all came out like shit. The vert lighting and set-up w/the shelves isn't photographer friendly, in almost all of em the bulbs are washing out the plants. I'll have to make a point to get in there before lights on to get photos.

Here's a couple... one main shot and a close-up of Lucifer #2. Don't mind the dead, lower leaves. These ladies lived like refugees the last week or two of veg. If someone would've told me when I started growing the hoops I might jump through to keep growing I would've never believed them. But here we are... :D

And #1, the fashionably late arriving male. Undecided on his fate... I have cuts of him, because I thought he was a she. So I don't need to inconvenience myself to flower this male but I would like to kill 2 birds w/1 stone and selectively pollinate some of #2 and 5. Figure while he's here, make use of him.

Week 2 update

Week 2 update

End of week 2 today. Going by fast. Gonna drop the screen in the next couple of days. I'll grab some photos tomorrow during watering.

The male is in collection stage. He's flowering by himself under some CFL's and I took a couple branches early & stuck em in a cup of water. Use some now, save some for later.

Not gonna hit em too heavy, just enough to spit out 20-30 seeds so I can keep playing around w/this pool. I'm thinking ECSD, Chem's Sister and Sour Larry should get a light dusting too while they're in there. :)

As for the girls, they're both doing well so far. They seem to be loving the vert. It's been interesting to see how they 'stretch' with this kind of lighting, it's a bit different than flat lights. I'm letting em do their thing, not gonna trim em up like usual. As long as it's a healthy branch in visible light, I'm leaving it alone so I can pull it through the screen later.

Individually, they're both near polar opposites. #2 barely budged an inch, she has massive broad leaves, like elephant ears. Stocky build, too. Great structure, IMO. My concern is she puts too much energy into growing parts of a plant you can't do much with, like fan leaves and stems. Time will tell. Didn't branch out much at all, just turned to the light and seemed pretty happy to stay where she was, started to develop flowering site much quicker than everyone else.

#5 bushed out considerably more so far, branching out from bottom up. Thinner leaved, faster growing than #2. Hollow stems. I could see her being a floppy mess come the last week or two. We'll see. I trimmed a couple scragglers off her and some from the backside but other than that she's been left alone. Glad I trained her hard in veg, she's going to fill up a good amount of the screen by herself.

And so now we wait til the ladies start to show us their true colors...

Meanwhile in veg... the ladies are backed up, a couple spare cuts of the surprise dude are in the tray and some rooted male cuts donated to the cause are chillin in some beer cups of dirt.

Hah!! I found ya'. My Triple Kush had big ass leaves and branches but when it was all over I swear it was nothing but buds, just rock hard glowing chunks. You should have some similar flower style with this one I'd bet, these Kush crosses available now are soo much better than so many S1's over the years, the plants are as good as or better than the parents. Now I have 2 Triple Kush cuts, I've been babying them from soil to coco, they're soo worth it.When are you expecting these to finish??I think my TK went 75 or 80 but 70 would have been fine.:)

Agreed on the current Kush stuff available, Karma made a great decision doing this Kush project and using the diff. moms he did. I think the interest in these lines speaks to that. Most everyone has loved the finished plants they got, from the White OG's to the SFD's and TK's so I'm excited for these Lucy's. Those TK's you had going last time were beefy with buds! If I get even one like that I'll be happier than a pig rolling in shit.

I'm expecting them to finish around 11-12 weeks. They were flipped at maturity but they are from seed so we'll see. I'll likely chop some nugs at weeks 10, 11 and 12 to see where I'll like em to land going forward.

Btw, completely spaced it out yesterday when I said it but I won't have pics today. Leaving for a trip for a few days in a couple hours. The dude's dropping nicely today, already collected some dust. When I get back I'm sure he'll be covered from head to toe in it.

Update

Update

Alright, back home again and ready to see these ladies through to the end! We're a couple days into week 4 and already calyxes are fattening up, frost is building and the stank is getting heavy. Thrips chewed on a couple leaves, little bastards. Other than that all is well, temps and RH been solid thanks to the AC. :D

#5 is just a bit ahead in development. She was starting to autoflower in 24/0 of veg before flowering but so far has been looking good, no issues at all. She's a bit ahead of #2, who's no slouch herself. #5 is already spitting out some thick, frosty calyxes while #2 is mostly pistils, just starting now to cluster up.

When I dipped outta town, my buddy, who's generously let me borrow this space to keep the Lucifer experiment rolling, was tasked with putting up the screen. I had a trellis net, about 6" wide per hole, but he on his own thought it was too big so he went to home depot and picked up some... snow fence. :biglaugh:

So, after my initial surprise I first spent some time cutting out the middle of what would be a 4-hole square, making the openings a bit bigger and allowing more of the plant to come through. It made a big difference in how much of the plant is now available to direct light. I'm going back tomorrow to try & take some wide shots to show how much fuller it is now.

Vert is tricky to photograph, it's been a bit of a learning curve figuring out where to stand/kneel to get a good shot in such a narrow room but I'll get it soon enough.

Way to be Rasp! Sounds like you have great plans for that pollen...How the hell can you go wrong with a mother lineup like that?!:)

Thanks MP, you know how it is... dabble a little here & there, pop the seeds and see what may come. Given some of the inputs we have to work with it sometimes seems like a can't miss proposition.

Just wanted to drop a quick note... did some dusting yesterday. Time will tell if it 'took' but I've done my part. Each Lucifer female received some of the pollen from the unexpected male, plant #1 of the pack. I like it's stature and vigor, he has fat hollow stems and took a while to start flowering as well so felt he was worth using.

I have another male in veg that I haven't used yet, it was supposed to be the stud of the show but now he's splitting time. Each male will get a 1:1 with each female so I'll have some from each.

On a slightly different note, while I was in there I dusted some mixed ChemSour pollen on CDSD #1 and Sour Larry. The latter was an accident, so much for 'selective' pollinating, right? I meant to pollinate her w/Lucifer OG but once I saw she had caught some CDSD (she was right underneath the CDSD #1) I figured I'd leave her be. Frankly, when I saw the pollen falling on top of her I just slowly backed away and left the room so I didn't do any more damage. Next run I'll bring out the Luc OG for her.

It's getting good...

It's getting good...

These plants are doing great, I'm counting down the days to smoking them. Hard to tell who's the winner, each of them keeps getting better every day.
