"This is a staggering thought. We are completely dependent, on the (compounding interest) Commercial Banks. Someone has to borrow (Request the manufacture of) every dollar, we have in circulation, cash or credit. If the Banks create (At the request of the consumer) ample synthetic (All money is fiat) money, we are prosperous; if not, we starve. We are, absolutely, without a permanent money system. When one gets a complete grasp of the picture, the tragic absurdity, of our hopeless position, is almost incredible, but there it is. It is the most, important subject, intelligent persons can investigate and reflect upon. It is so important that our present civilization may (Not may...Will Inevitably) collapse (Implode), unless it becomes widely understood, and the defects remedied very soon." (the remedy will cause the premature implosion)--ROBERT H. HEMPHILL (Credit Manager of Federal Reserve Bank, Atlanta, Georgia 1938)

Robert describes the ponzi perfectly. Bernanke gets the dubious title of being Captain of the Federal Reserve ship as it sinks.

Im glad to see Dr. Paul getting a little more coverage on IC these days. I remember the Obama kool-aid drinkers thinking he was the savior back in 2008 so it's nice.

bump! Remember to register Republican to vote for Dr Paul in your state's primary!

You have to give Ron and Barney some credit. These guys have renewed my faith in political leadership. Most politicians would just take the money...

When's the last time a president operated according to his campaign?

When a politician is more concerned about his own well-being than that of the people he represents...what else is there to say?

There's far more to well-being than meets the electorate's eyes.

Well, you were riding Obama's dick real hard back in 2008. I guess you did learn your lesson.

If you're claiming that Paul is yet another liar seeking office then say so. The cryptic stuff doesn't work for me.

could you link to those bills?

his website shows 2 in '09 but nothing else...

Rep. Fwank has been in since '80 so thats a bare minimum of 46 bills.

id be interested to find out if any of them are better written than those 2 in '09.

not that i personally found fault with them but politically they had ZERO chance.

although the 31 bipartisan cosponsors for his '09 medical is promising...

the paul/fwank bill seems to have a lot more attention than ALL of those attempts over the last 23 years.

maybe bawney is just ineffectual?

ICMag is an international site attracting members from a multitude of religious and political backgrounds. We do this in favor of harmony and unity, rather than the divisions created by permitting open discussions of politics and religion requiring an opinion from such a global community. Political discussions pertaining specifically to cannabis laws/legalization are only accepted in the appropriate forum.
