Going to see this movie tonight. Looks pretty intense...Rutger Hauer is the hobo, and he has a shotgun, and he is pissed.

Anybody witnessed the carnage yet?

'Hobo With A Shotgun' started as a fake trailer for Quentin Tarintino and Robert Rodriguez's 'Grindhouse'.

Rutger Hauer as a shotgun toting tramp, taking on crooked cops and pedophile Santas.

OK....here is my review:

An instant cult classic! If you are a fan of this kind of movie and/or Rutger Hauer, you will love this movie. Gore galore, and its totally gratuitous. A gut busting laugh a minute, there is mucho classic one-liners, and surprisingly some rather tender moments as well.

Kinda similar to the original zombie flick Dawn Of The Dead, in that it speaks to a current social problem (of homeless people and the people who despise them for just being homeless), where the DOTD spoke to the nuclear armegeddon situation.

Oh, and Ricky from The Trailer Park Boys makes an appearance early on, he looses his head as usual.

Its in the cheap theaters now, best $4 bucks you'll spend this week.

I was expecting it to be pretty good, but it was excellent, especially considering the genre. What it lacks in "quality," it more than makes up with gnarly blood spattered gumption. Rutger Hauer's grizzled wrinkled face was perfect for the part.

Did anyone else notice the head on the ground was Ricky from Trailer Park Boys? Even had the same haircut! Lol

Dr D....

Are you saying that Ricky from TPB was in the Machete trailer in the Planet Terror film? Was he in the real Machete film as well? That is a weird confluence of one character showing up in 3 seperate movies....I haven't seen Machete yet, but will eventually for sure.

I'm a fan of Rutger Hauer. I like Bruce Campbell too.

They tried to make a movie together, but weren't allowed . . . too much badass all in one place could upset the balance of the universe . . . :D

im suprised rautger haur would be in such a film.

Yep.

It started out bad and went downhill from there. What a stooopid, stoopid movie,at least for me.I did watch the whole thing, but more because I couldn't believe how stoopidly bad it was and wanted to see if it could get any worse...(it did.)

If you guys liked it,that is totally ok with me,but I cannot believe I sat there and watched the whole thing.

Slim,

I'm thinking you must not enjoy the Grindhouse genre then. Within that genre, it wasn't out of the ordinary, but grindhouse cinema definitely isn't for everyone.
