Best light amount for AF?

Hi all! I'm just curious is 12/12 the best for AF or would 24/0 be better?

I like 20/4 myself, same as what I veg reg stuff

one of the more experienced auto growers on here is named 20/4

Do you use HPS for the entire thing or MH then HPS?

I use 250w CMH all the way through but if I didn't have that or wanted to grow more than one at a time I would use MH til about day 18 then switch to HPS

in case you hadn't run across it you also want to plant them into the final pot as the size of the root system determines yield even more on autos. you don't have time for transplant shock. some experienced auto growers up-pot (transplant) but they know just when to do it to not stunt the plants growth

in soil I use 3 gallon pots
in coco you can use smaller

yeah, CMH is nothing really special it just has more blue than a HPS and alot more red than a standard MH so you can use them from start to finish. HPS will yield a little more in general but CMH creates slightly froastier nugs. not a big difference.
you can use HPS all the way through but if you have both may as well use it.

A bud of mine runs them 20/4 under a MH all the way. He plants 30 in a lage rubbermaid from the git go and cull the males when they show. He on averag gets 1/2lb+.
I'm now doing my first run just for seed and they are rite about transplant shock,their stunted but that's ok I just want the seed.
