Hello,
I really respect and look up to a lot of you on this site, I have come to learn a lot, some by accident some on purpose. All great words though. I am very interested in hearing what You all have to say. Good, bad, ugly. I have thick skin and am just looking for input from anybody and everybody.
Thanks
So here we go...
Strains:
OG Kush
Headband
Lighting:
1000W HPS
Growing Medium:
FFOF (SCROG)
4x4 Rockwool Cubes
Nutrient Solution:
General Hydroponics Flora Series 3-2-1
Weekly Epsom Salt Foliar Feed
Ok so here is the storyline....
Basically I had to build the room as I went along. Slowly but surely, spreading the girls out as they took up more space, building the room little by little as I needed it. This, had an extremely negative effect on my ability to maintain temps, air flow, etc. But needless to say, here we are. Well along and looking great, the early on stress of 24hr lighting and up to 100 temps seem to have effected them minimally, at least to this point.
Started with 1x1 Rockwool Cubes in mid March, ran 24/0 for a couple days to de-stress and promote root growth, then moved most girls to 4x4 rockwool and some to 3.5gallon pots woith soil. Week
Week 1,2,3:
Kids came in looking pretty bad, long car ride etc....got em dipped and looking better, but still some droop. Room construction hurt us, lots of mold building up on the rockwool and soil due to low temps at night and high temps in the day. Also lack of ability to flood and drain rockwool caused us to have to top water, so that didnt help either. Here are some pics from those weeks.
From week 1. Baby. Droopy and unhappy. Itll get better.
From week 2. Some veg, still droop. Its waay too hot.
From week 3. More veg, Still rediculously hot. You can see the mold building up. We ended up cutting pieces of mylar out to cover each cube, this halted the mold effectively. also we are starting to get our temperatures under control.
Week 3ish...better shot of the mold.
Week 5ish...long time since a pic, but well I had this def...Cal/Mag we think, only saw this def in the soils, rockwool were looking great. Turned out to be food going in was too low, 6.3 took it up to 6.6-6.8 and that effectively fixed the issue. Temps good now, highs of 82-84 and lows of 65-67. Cutting clones soon, looking to flip a couple weeks after that.
Week 10 - 1 week into flower. Dropped the SCROG on the soils late, too late maybe but well see. Rockwool on the left. Soil on the right. Just cut clones three weeks ago.
Those are all week 1 of flower....week 10 of the grow. Will be putting in new bulbs and cleaning glass next week, as well as firing up the CO2 generator.
Week 1 soils are ready for defoliation and retraining, probably wont get done till next week.
Week 2 of flower
Same week, anyone know WTH these OG's are doing? Only some have this nug like shoot.
Non defoliated Rockwool... Week 2 of flowering
Week 2 of flowering, Soils, defoliated and SCROG trained.
Side by side rockwool on left, soil on right. Defoliated soils.
These were too rigid to retrain, so I had to raise the light.
Well. Today is day 17 of flower. I will be posting updates periodically, probably once a week.
Look forward to hearing from all of you.
