The spores hit the moisture in the bud and starts to flourish as mold....... Weak plants is also more susceptible to budrot than healthy plants..

I dunno. I've had it in quite vigorous plants. The constant I have seen is big, tight usually top colas. Lack of air circulation due to the size of the buds, and humidity I think are key. It works its evil from the inside of the bud out. As mentioned, if you see a wilting fan leaf in the bud, check it out immediately. If you excise the infected area in time with a razor blade, and sterilize with alcohol, maybe vinegar? you may well be able to save the remainder of the bud. I keep RH at 35% with a dehumidifier and don't often see this nasty.

yeah , i seemed to have found another little dying leaf on the top of another bud on the same plant...
I ripped it open a bit and the same thing was starting to happen so i nipped it in the bud so to speak...
I'm just chopping this bitch down now. I wanted to go to 9.5 weeks but i guess a day short of 9 weeks is fine. She is a 7-9 week strain anyway by the description...

well i found another spot on the same plant/different bud. The tiny leafs sticking out the side of the colas are dying and drying out and then thats where the rot or mold starts (i guess)...

Its time to chop this bitch down today. Its an 7-8 weeks strain by the description ...
