What does an 80% or greater Sativa feel like????

i think its the sativa high that i seek, when i was living in a commune whilst working away
i bought a bit which was more than 10 yrs ago and shared it with my work friends.
it was like some kind of spiritual mood enhancing experiance which i have not had again to date apart from a local purple haze that came near.
my friends who were much older than me were rolling around the floor laughing and one was in the corner of the room talking to God blessing himself with watwer with no top on.
they were around 40-60 yrs old and i was only 20 or so and i thought i had experienced a good high with the good hash that went around at the time but this stuff just blew my mind and i dont even know what it was called but since i have been growing mostly indicas
i now know it must have been a sativa.
i just cant seem to find the time for a sativa at the moment though things are a bit hecktic for me the now moving around and stuff, but one day i will start the search.

for me its depending on what time of day it is and what i need to get done, theres a strain for every occasion just like wine...

In the day time definately a sativa, indicas always make my legs ache while im working because i already do a lot of walking at work. then when you add indica effects to an already sore body that is having to move a lot.. it just equals a beaten man at the end of the day... on the other hand i can smoke a sativa and get energized, even get a second wind at work after i smoke a sativa. Sativas actually increase my productivity. But i couldnt smoke a sativa all day and into the night... i would go mental, lol. Indicas to me are for times when i want to relax or make myself tired, or just lose a day if i feel the need, lol.

anyway know what to look for as far as bud formation goes, and maybe find a new source if all ur dude is getting is indica dom stuff... that would just ruin weed for me, plus sativas are where all the good flavors are at. Real kushes, minus the afghan skunky phenos, dont have much of a taste, mostly bland if they are pure, that flavor is usually coming from a sativa.. Hence why pretty much every indica you see on the market is hybridised and either bx'd or in one of many ways bred back to its indica dominant traits

so for each time of the day, i select the proper herb, my days run much much smoother now that i smoke in this way

HM, no not really, speaking as someone who has grown it quite a few times. I would say c99 is 50/50 or even indi-dom with some sativa characteristics. It starts OK, can be euphoric, motivational and racy, but after only a few hits.... zzzz I would definitely agree with Elevator Man, he knows his stuff - Flo.

How micro is the micro-grow? if you top the plants a few times you can get a really nice wide shrub that stays very low.

C-99 Pheno I had was like smoking a bowl of fruits loops laced with crack.

Eyes felt like they were bugging out of my head. Felt like I needed to do "something" like clean the house.

My girl on the other and wake n baked with it drank her coffee and would go for a relaxing morning jog.

I love C99, but would call it more of a teeth-grinding indica. It's got some great sativa qualities, but the indica is definitely still there in spirit. After prolonged C99 smoke it will leave you 'skunked out' as well.

switch them to 12/12 sooner than your indicas, like 2nd or 3rd set of leaves you'll be fine. if it starts to look like it will be too tall cut it off or bend it over, it's worth the effort.

I've seen good results with aggressively defoliating the top s of the plant to stop upward growth. I watched my friend take all the leaves but the tiniest baby leafs from the main cola this sativa, and within a week he had to do it to most of the side branches that were threatening to get too tall, he did it on them too and the plant stayed right about the same height over the rest of the plants throughout the rest of flowering. (only about 2-4")

I hadn't been brave enough to jump into growing the sativas indoors but when I got Miau Miau's TH haze f2 freebies I couldn't resist. You are going to need more horizontal room so you should be aware of this when you are thinking about how much square footage you have in your primary light. I only have a 400 watter but over the years I have done my share of LST instead of opting for scrogs. This has been my biggest LST challenge by far but I am happy about how it's been going. Every branch has been pulled to grow to the outside and I have to adjust them practically everyday.

After weeks in 11/13 she may finally be starting to show some flower growth.

Mandala #1 has a great (but probably not thumbsucking or god-talking) sativa high, with some phenos showing indica style growth.

A very clear, wide-eyed high. Cuts through the fog of the everyday, brings the here and now. improves vision.

You're either high or Yoda if you think you're going to grow a REAL narrow leaf Sativa in a PC case. That's just my opinion of course...maybe some micro gods can do it...please I'd love to hear of ant successes.

Sativas are the only way to fight the dreaded...I'm smoking too much and I can't get high any more...you (I anyway) quickly get from Indicas.

I highly suggest you look into another area to grow...or pick another variety. A Sativa...even 12/12 from seed...will grow to 6ft easily. You're going to end up with a PC case full of nothing but stem!

That isn't a "Sativa"...at least it doesn't look it to me...(I looked at pictures on page 11), that's an Indica or a cross. Sativas make long and wispy "buds" as they're sometimes not even a bud.

Also...IMO of course...the length of time you'll be waiting, the little yield you get, make a Sativa grow in a PC not worth the hassle.

I agree with this dude. Im growing some TH x SSH from Aisle9 (Hazy Lady) and they were basically put in at 12/12 from sprout, they ended up at 4.5 feet and I had to hit one with Bushmaster because even 4 weeks into flowering, she was still growing an inch a day (see the pictures). Not only taller, but monstrously bushy too, so that doesnt leave much possibility for training. With training (and I usually train all my plants) I would probably knock off only a foot, but end up with a horrific mess of a canopy that cant be watered without a hose. There is no way you're going to pull off a pure sativa in a PC case, at all. In fact, I doubt a sativa could be grown properly with less than 4 feet of height.

Incidently I was going to kill off my hazes, but reading this thread has inspired me to try and stick it out. 14 weeks is my limit though!

For comparison, pictured next to a SD that was vegged for a month and was 2 weeks ahead of the hazes in flowering time. As you can see, there is no way that thing could fit in a PC case.

MOD's Kali most when i smoked it, was super clear strong head buzz that seem to fire the crown chakra. MODs Mist of Destruction (Destroyer x Kali Mist) fires the crown and 3rd eye chakra's. The MOD isnt as strong as the kali in the crown area but it adds some buzz to the front of the brain hence the 3rd eye chakra firing. Jack Herer is an awesome buzz, but not spirtitual compared to the Kali and MOD I've run. The jacks buzz was super clear and strong in its effect. Great quality to the buzz great candy for the brain.

You can grow pure sativa's in a pc, trust me i know. My link is above and my thread is well over a few hundred post, so if you wan to see the sativa's in that thread you will have to do some clicking. I've grown diesels, kushs, hazes, and hashplants in pc's

it also depends on your personality.

Lets take 'Tweak' from South Park as an example. I would imagine giving him a sativa would make his head explode. an indica would probably make him feel mighty fine.

Then lets take 'Sleepy' from Snow White. An indica would probably just make him sleep all day instead of being sleepy. A sativa though would probably make him feel alive.

and then theres me. I'm kinda like tweak so I stick to indica dominant plants to chill me out. lord knows I don't need any more excitement or high paced energy in my life.

i grow a pure sativa in a small space 18 inches tall 11 inches deep and 2 feet wide. training just seems to encourage them to stretch more, topping and pinching is the way to go with a sativa IME. i found a lowland oaxacan bagseed and the high is super racy, like you just drank a whole pot of coffee, comes down super clear, one second you're high and next you're not sure if you're even high anymore but you feel something. doesn't seem to be a ceiling just get more and more wired, but you also get sleepier the more you smoke, but you gotta take like 6 big bowls in an hour from my experience to get to that point. dreams are very vivid on this stuff. high lasts about 2-3 hours before you notice not being really high anymore.
i think i grew it in both the threads in my sig and im growing some more again this grow which i havent linked yet, but its in the micro section "summertime in the city". doing hydro soil and hempy, growing it in a beercup seems to help with controlling the size, sativas like to dig deep so keep the container short. the hempy ones take off they seem to branch more than the soil and hydro.
