what time to run lights on during 12/12?

what time do you all run lights and give me rational? i am thinking to run them from 7pm to 7am. Mainly because i work all day and makes about the most sense for me...any thoughts or ideas? i need to flip them like tomorrow!

i run my during the afternoon into the morning hours just as you had planned. mine come on at 6 p.m. and off at 6 a.m. the reason behind this is it gets warm where i'm at during the days and i like to keep mine off until it cools down some. but like stated above whatever time you feel comfortable with as long as the temps stay in an acceptable range. i like to keep mine at 75-78f.

generally people like to run their lights at night when temps are cooler. that way, your ac works better, and not as hard. 7-7 is good.

Mostly if all things are equal: heat, power cost\usage etc. I tell my folk to fit the lights to their life/work. Just as you hav. Good luck

Hey Paully, Mine is a legal MMJ so I usually try and run my lights when it's cooler, so night time makes sense, because it's easier to handle heat.

HOWEVER:
If you are in a non-med state or running a stealth grow: Heat imaging that LEO uses detects heat differences, so it is more functional when surrounding heat sources are cooler than the heat generated by your gear. Therefore if you run lights during the heat of the day it is more difficult to detect, but requires better ventilation and an AC unit to handle the heat.

hey there, i run mine from 6pm to 6 am, saves me using a heater overnight, and the meter/power people are likely to come during the day and i dont want it running when they come.

If you are on a dual tariff system, it is usually cheaper to run at night.

larger grows i've done, i run at night because of this, as well as the outside air being cooler giving the environmental controls far more control over everything.

I run 10pm > 10am. That works great for my schedule since I work from home most days and have a school aged kid part time. After 2 years of this... I still open my cabinet right at lights on almost every day excited to see what has changed. Good luck with your grow.

set it for whatever time where the day cycle is when you will be able to take care of the plants.

dont set the dark cycle for when you will be at home from work and before you go back to work again. set it for when you will be away and set the light for when you will be home that way you can take care of your plants and not making a thread in 2 months asking if its ok to flip the light cycle since you are always at work when the plants are awake and by the time you get home its lights out.

i do sunup till sundown. cuz thats when im at home.
