The show was OUTSTANDING!!! It was everything I had hoped for and more. I got some great photos and video, including a surprisingly decent recording of Liquor and Whores. If you are a TPB fan and have the opportunity to see a show, don't pass it up.
I was quite surprised that The Boys are selling out here in the U.S. of A. Even more surprising, this crowd was not just the curious. This was a crowd of rabid, hardcore TPB fans. The audience was yelling out Rickyisms and other lines throughout the show. Every few minutes you'd hear "Hey Raveen!" or "Atoadaso!" or "For fuck sake, Ricky!"
At the end, they showed a promo video for their new show, The Drunk and On Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour. They said it was "coming soon," but I've been hearing about this show for a while, so I'm not holding my breath. After that, the boys came out on stage OUT OF CHARACTER. If you know anything about The Boys, you know they NEVER appear in public out of character. Video of Mike Smith NOT being Bubbles is a truly a rare commodity, but I have some.
