Recent Packs of MLI

Has anyone purchased and grown any Sensi Maple leaf Indica in the last year or so. I've read of Sensi's fall from grace and wonder how MLI has fared. I'm currently running eight MLI plants and they are very healthy, I'm hoping for some males as this is my last pack from 2008. Last season ran six plants outside and had no males and I'm outta seeds. MLI is by far my favorite of everything I've ever grown.

I ran several new packs late last year that I had bought late 2009/early 2010. Great strain, very uniform and not a loser amongst them all. I had a lot of plants that reeked of sour apple jolly ranchers, even the one's that weren't that strong in sour apple were still excellent smokes. I still have a cutting of the best sour apple pheno that I constantly have a cutting in flower of. I also made a ton of seeds to preserve this line for myself. This is my go to strain for nerve pain relief.

I know you hear a lot of talk about Sensi's decline etc. but I sure as hell haven't seen it in Maple Leaf. The maple leaf I grew recently was exactly the same, if not better (more of the strong sour apple plants) than what I had grown back in the early/mid 2000's. I really don't think you'll be disappointed.

Honestly, Maple Leaf is a true IBL. It would take some serious neglect on Sensi's part to screw it up at this point. Parental selection on such an inbred line is going to be significantly less important in a homogeneous line such as MLI than it is on the F1's or some of the poly-hybrids Sensi offers.

Hope this helps.

Just put 2 cuttings into flower about 5 days ago. I've been working on documenting my apollo 11 project and apparently the MLI pictures have faded into obscurity. I'll check the camera when my wife gets home with it. If not, I promise I'll post some when my cuts get going in a few weeks.

Thanks for the replies! I will shoot some shots of my current outdoor grow of MLI as well. Gonna purchase a couple of packs just cause I'm cool with being a guinea..........pig.

I got 6 females out of 7 seeds. Glad I got the 1 male, as I want to make some seeds. Have HIGH hopes for this strain from the good things I have heard. Some say this is kinda weak herb. I am after quality of high over anything though.

These things are very hardy and grow kinda like a sativa, fair amount of stretch. I am growing indoors under LED btw.

Can you describe the high from this sutra? Mellow and positive is the kinda things I have heard.

Ive grown MLi for years- since 2000. It is the very best afghani available today. Period. there isnt a single afghan variety that can hold a straw to it. Ive grown a dozen from Dchunk to Taskenti and nothing on the market comes close to its quality. The plants are healthy and the smoke is pure redeyed hash den smoke.

The plants i grew this year came from a pack i purchased last november. They are the same and frankly, if they crossed it with anything, it would change it dramatically. Ive heard people actually contend that sensi had crossed it with skunk, which is pure BS.

I have spoken directly to the grower that works on MLI for sensi. He assured me that sensi would never alter it because it is so popular just the way it is. No one that has ever smoked MLI would think it needs improvement. Its stellar just the way it is.

Find a nice Blueberry male and dust your maple leafs. The results are a big yielding, fruity tasting plant that will cause you to laugh your ass off. I never get tired of the red eyed giggles.
