New auto watering system?

N

NextUp

Just hit up Google looking for auto water systems..........

This one looks good too me! Anyone ever try it out?

Its a drip, and i would GUESS you control the amount of water dripped by the day settings. 40 days would mean less water used, 10 days would mean faster drip ect ect......I has a small valve/pump with a 9V to control the flow rate it seems. 6.6 max gallons it can hold 20 pots it says.

If no one has tried it, i might be the Guinnesiii' pig!

This is a link too a video of the unit. 5 mins.........

EDIT: Did some more research, with over 50 reviews it maintained a 4 star rating........
Only complaint is it waters a bit fast, but with any DIY experience you can adjust the flow easy many ways.
Most said its good for 1-2 years then the thing stops working.....for 70.00 if it works a year, i feel like a winner!

Tropf Blumats, the real ones. Not the Jr. ones.

Blumats are the only way. Forget this thing and get the real deal.

Well, Blumat' was on my list for sure.......But with the flooding issues i read about, not so sure.

Don't get me wrong, blumats are still top of the list....BUT>

I'm not so sure they can ever be 100% reliable, unless they are run on a pressure system. the pressure will always be different depending on the water lvl in the res' Im looking into a pressure system, with a res.

I'm also thinking i might drip onto a drip plate, so the water gets put over a larger soil surface.

I have gone on out of town vacations several times (two of those times were for 7 days), and came back to ZERO issues. Yes, the pressure reduces as your res lowers, but turn the up a little before you leave and they will be fine on return. Its not like they will stop dripping.

I have never seen healthier and more yielding plants in my grow setup. All plants have the most shiny leaves. My last round with my 600watt HPS (4x4 tray) yielded 20 Zips, of what I would call top shelf. I believe is is directly related to using blumats with COCO.

I have never seen the need for a plate. I have HUGE root mounds grow on the top of the coco to prove it. Each plant has a hill of roots about the size of 6cm x 6cm. All white and pearly.

I know what you mean. I knocked on a door and a boxer hit me chest level and knocked me on my ass. Licked my face just like Dino Flintstone. Thank the stars is wasn't a pit bull that darn large. I would have got the willies and might have got bit.

I like the part where they say specifically "...can be used with all pot plants..."
