the hunt is over my friends. my plant just showed about four weeks into its veg cycle multiple hairs. my first grow was a bust, it got about a foot tall then switched to flowering and low and behold about a week later so many balls showed up that there was no more denying it. so yea i guess my question for you guys is now how do i get the most potent stuff i can get, i have a bagseed from some mid, im poor maning my project in a not so tolerent state towards my hobby. so how can i do this cheaply an sneaky. how can i get the highest yeild in the shortest amount of time?? any tips an tricks would be nice. the three i have are about five weeks into veg the one i know is a female the other two only time will tell.

soil: Miracle Grow Advanced Fourmual; Feed for up to 6 Months. Soil Content = 21-7-14
nutrients: none
PH: unknown, ive been using tap water and ive never tested the PH of the water.
Lighting: 3 26watt 6500k blue spectrum CFL 3" above plants.one for each plant

just watch how much light each separate bud is receiving and try to maximize it the best way possible. Also watch fo temps, humidity and a good airflow.

Generally - the more time and thought u devote - the better the result most of the time. But try not to overdo things. Too much atention can kill your plants sometimes

you need alot more light anyway you shake a stick at it. a plant thats been vegged 5 weeks? if you are lucky you can keep it under 3 feet tall and/or train it out til it's wide. either way more lights.

smell is what will get you. sounds like you need to spend some $

Yep, agree, more light. What you got is probably good for cloning but that's about all.

If an HPS is out of the question have a search for the threads on this site involving small grows with flouros, some of them are amazing.

open your buds to light, by removing fanleaves from the way, bending there and there, cutting something away sometimes, etc. using some wire is also good.

there are many ways of increasing yield, but perhaps the best method known is prolonging the Vegetative stage in order to shape up your plant by training it. You want to give it a shape with which your plant will receive the most amount of light possible from a given setup. Basically your shape should remove the need for light to penetrate deep Into your canopy of bud and stay on surface, where it's needed the most to grow them buds.

But this is just a small portion of those wonderful techniques that you are about to discover for yourself. There are many many techniques and just so you could start out here is what you should look into:

SoG method
ScroG Method
Topping
LST
Supercropping
FIMming
Defoliation

those are some of the best known techniques to speculate on your plant's shape in order to get the most and the best product possible.

Also you will want to look into your plant's Diet.
First thing to decide is whether you want to go organic or synthetic. That is already a whole other topic you would REALLY wanna learn.

The more you learn, the better the product you can make.

I got my first 150 watt HPS on craigslist for $35. Just bite the bullet and get at least a 150. You should be able to produce 2-3 ounces EASILY with that bulb alone...It'll pay for itself 10 fold in a couple of months. Maybe then add a homemade carbon filter (another $35 max) and a squirrel cage fan you should be able to obtain for next to nothing at a yard sale or on CL...Plumb the fan with some 4" ductwork at the light and you'll be golden. Ghetto, but golden.

mck2k2, mate, those lights are no good. You will get a very shwaggy weed. I suggest you put atleast a 70w HPS lamp there. 70w could earn u up to 70grams of weed if you do real good. If youre able to setup a cycle with 70w hps plus your 3 26w cfls for the sideclone you could average atleast 1 gram a day easly. Add another 70w or make it 150 and 2g per day can do no problem.

No offence but thats has to be the biggest pile of shit missinformation i have ever seen posted on icmag. say he runs a sativa, takes 90 days... your saying this guy will harvest 300g off a 150w light... dude, that requires skill, i have never even knocked on 2gpw whis is what i think you were meaning. I have hit 1.6gpw before but not two and i had my shit dialed in, took a while dude. I know some people hit it and sometimes a lil over, but from the info given theres not a snowball chance in hell this is happening without some holy grail miracle plant with resistance to everything that could happen to it.You are a newbie trying to sound like a big shot.

and dude thats growing these. Go to walmart in the lighting section, look for long cfl lights, they are 20 each, you will only need two for now depending on how big the plant(s) is/are. you will want about 5 of these in there by the time you start flowering the plants. you seem like your budget may be kind of low so you can buy one at a time if your low on $ but have at least 5 when you start flowering and you should harvest around 3oz's if your plants are healthy and the yield is okay(genetically).

Btw, switch your nutrients to Alaska fish emulsion, you can get it at lowes $8, it is a 0 1 0 nutrient i believe. anyway that doesnt mean it isnt good. i am an experienced grower and this is something i refuse to grow without, this is my all time go to shit. fuck all that expensive floura nova shit and AN and all that. its not necessary, your buying a style and hype, plus a sticker. im not saying all ferts are the same but dude dont buy into all that hype. but as far as bloom boosters, get something good

my bad man, i thought it said the miracle grow was the nutrient, i see it has nutrients in it though, ill be honest the plants dont look bad better than my first couple of MG plants. But anyway i would switch them to a non fertilized soil, Miracle Grow Organic in the brown bag is really good, but you will need perlite because it doesnt have any in it. Mix it right and you will probably hit .65-.75gpw it the plants yield well, and that is under the 5 60w cfls
