thats not gonna be near enough to vent a tent, even a small tent
sorry

you can mount it inside to move some air around though

6" PVC flange adapter. Screw the fan directly to the flange and attach ducting to the neck.
I agree with the neolithic caveman. I dont know if that fan will provide enough ventilation for a tent.

10 of those for a tent might still not be enough. Those fans are sized perfectly to vent a PC sized enclosure. Actually, my PC has 4 of those. A grow tent is maybe ... 10x bigger? So...

You'll need about 40 of those.

Can't read the specs. Some axials move HUGE amounts of air but, that's unrestricted. Unrestricted, they move more air than any other type of fan. Restricted, as they'll be in a cab situation, they move next to nothing.

He did say it was a 6" fan Cannabunkerman. Maybe he has a 2'x2'x4' tent. Not everybody has a homebox xxl. Also, not too many PC's or PC growboxes use 6 inchers.
I could easily see a 6" axial fan pushing 150-200 cfm at 0" SP. Once the static pressure builds though, the cfm rating drops dramatically.
You got specs on the fan noobwidow? Are you using it to cool a light or for scrubbing?

Sgt. Stedenko, I am using one to extract air from a 8 cubic foot box. The fan was bought from a rather strange electronic company and has no CFM rating or anything. I think it might be around the 100-150 range. Still, you guys might be right about it not being enough since this tent is considerably larger because of the height increase. I might just get one of those circular active air fans from the local hydro store, even though I didn't want to shell out any more money it might be worth it in the long run to have everything set up how it should be.

Thanks for all the help!

How many amps of current does it consume? That will give you the best indication of how powerful it really is.

Really depends how much heat you need to move, what lighting will this tent have in it? And really you'd be better off with a normal kitchen/bathroom extractor than one of those fans...Peace

Thanks for your responses, guys.

The fan is 0.2 amps (isn't that around 100-150 cfm?). I have 2 - 65 watt cfls and 1 - LED 40 watt, but it has kick. Either way, very low heat emitted from these.

The only thing would be that the temps in my grow box for the moment this summer are going up to 32 celsius (90F) so some ventilation is definitely good.

The fan is 0.2 amps

That's absolutely useless as an exhaust fan, sorry. It may be rated 100-150cfm, but that's obstruction-free. A fan rated for 100-150cfm but which consumes over 1 amp would be able to maintain enough of that airflow through a carbon filter to be worth considering.
