Awesome vertical setup, any ideas how to?

Have you ever grown in doors at this scale before? I wouldn't fuck with vertical until you've got growing period down pretty well. But yes, vertical is very efficient. I couldn't tell you step by step how they made that setup, but I've got an idea. If you don't have an idea, you should try a regular grow before you try vertical.

Nothing wrong with starting up with vertical i.m.o. He could better start off with a scrogg using soil.

Vertical or horiz. he will be bending twiggs and positioning his plants anyway.

Vert only possibly gives him more yield if he succeeds. Reason enough to start off with it :)

I see Heath's emblem in the lower middle of the screen. He runs plant counts that most of us would not want to mess with.

You know Hushem, you're probably right. I saw the video he linked, and kind of thought "he's looking at growing hydro.... in a vert system.... and asking how to set it up...". So I was thinking pumps and drip rates and shit you don't want to deal with on a first grow. But you're probably right. He would probably do fine in dirt. Maybe stackable storage bins?

..Considering his question he most likelly is starting off growing.

Stackable storage bins would work. But roots need air also. Some holes init or something.

If he is starting off he has so much to learn alrite. Take it easy and focus on observing at first I would suggest that also.

That's definately one of Heath Robinson's old design's taken of Strainguide. I think he ran two 400's on that and pulled about 4+ lbs, you do the math it was way over 1.5 GPW.

That ain't for beginners (IMHO) but feel free to go for it! The worst that can happen is you spend a lot of money and the crop fails, or you get the borg, or the pump fails at a particularly bad time etc... that also (If I remember right) was a specific strain he developed for vert growing.

I grew for about 2 years horizontally before I was introduced to vertical growing, but I had been around growers for over 20 years so..(shrug)?

Good luck?

Complex, expensive, a bitch to maintain and nice load of rockwool to get rid of, it'll yield well, although keeping a continuous supply of clones is going to be something you need to sort first

All vertical grows are more efficient than horizontal, it's a simple matter of using the light output to it's maximum advantage

ive grown indoors on a large horizontal scale before, vertical is intriguing, this grow inspired me to actually want to start, the clone supply is not an issue, the materials and equipment doesn't seem to hard either, ive got an idea how to set it up, but i wanted to clarify a few things, like drainage, would the water not leak from the bottom? There is rock wool and a plastic covering, but if the water overruns the bottom of the slab, wouldn't it leak?
