What's new

Stupid question, but I am new to this.

Checked them this morning, and they are definitely turning around. I actually see new growth!!!!!! They are greening back up, well most of them anyway. 2 have died, but that is my own fault. I will be heading into town this weekend, and I will get a new camera, still can't believe what a tool I am for dropping it. I will be feeding with the nutes at 500, and a ph of 5.6. Thank you all again for the help, cause without you guys, I would have killed them all.

First: You really can't overwater coco. Coco reaches saturation and the rest goes down the drain so watering once a day or 50 time a day is the same thing.

Second: You never said what your nute formula is. Are you using Lucas 8-16 or 3Hads 6-9?
which one is it? New coco is prone to the cation problem so I would recommend the 6-9 formula. That's 6 parts micro to 9 parts bloom. As I'm sure you know, we never use the "grow" component for the Flora series nutes.

When the plants are small like you describe....don't be afraid to let the top layer of coco dry out a bit. Not the whole container.....just make the roots look for a little moisture. Never let coco dry out completely...but a little dryness is good. 6.0 ph is perfect. Hitting 5.8 allows it to drift up to 6.0 until the next watering. Never use straight water in coco until the final flush...even then I add sucanant to the ph'ed flush water.

There is lots of good info here for new coco growers....just try and stick to the basics for now.

Another thing to note about GH and coco... A cal-mag supplment goes a long way!

3 part GH with some cal-mag+ and you are golden... Coco is a cal-mag hog.

I see new growth, new nodes, and plenty of greening back up!!!!! I actualyy think they are going to make it. I am proud of myself, but really, I owe everyone that has given me guidance. I also went to the KISS thread, and will be doing it that way, but adding Cal mag as well. Thanks so much people!!!!

I know you are using GH. My question is what formula (proportions) of the 3 part Flora series are you using?

I am following the KISS formula. There is a link somewhere in the thread here, but i don't know how to post it myself.

Can you just tell us how many ml/gallon of each that you are using?

The H3ad formula is 6ml Micro and 9ml Bloom per gallon.

READ THE H3ad STICKY AT THE TOP OF THE COCO FORUMS!!
