I like Australian women. Perhaps it's time for a move?
What does electrical cost?
How secured is the border between NZ and OZ?
What is the PPP, look like, 'cause the USD is currently trading lower than the AUD? (i.e. How much does a commodity cost in your dollars (milk, housing, gas, meat)).

I met some Aussies in Aspen back in the late 90's, they were paying coke prices for their weed...
Insane. Guess it is easy to cut off imports when you're on an island.

Im from Melbourne brother.. so for me to give you that info would be pure speculation... Melbourne is generally cheaper than the other states........ i live on $$350 a week for food, rent, heating as its almost winter atm,

If you do decide to make the move you will love it, Aussies can get annoying but they are cool as some times as well... I'm not an Aussie per say but do call Australia my home :)

Perth is the money state if you want to grow :)

Mr. Mountain

If your grass is good 5K per pound is a DEAL down south. 400/oz all day. 5 packs going for 25K is not a dream. Most people are lucky to get it for 350/oz if they are buying weight! If you take it down to the "other part of town" you get 6400/lb cash all day. Not that it's worth the risk.

The laws suck in the south, and I want to leave. But the risk is worth the reward down here.

I'd gladly get 2500/lb be "legal" and grow WAY more.

But down here you can turn down 5k cash/lb because you know you can get 6K if you wait.

Recently cheap CA import is in town, the prices for everything "so so" went down slightly, but most customers can tell the difference between outdoor with most of the resin bounced off the outside and "High quality indoor" The high end market isn't going anywhere.

There is never enough to go around!

I find myself wandering in the dark, getting paranoid from time to time (or more pacifist).
I can only imagine from the man that brought you The Shinning.

Arizona. Cheap as fuck, and right now the laws are favoring the caregivers. And the weather minus July thru September is great!

Caregivers can have 5 patients and up to 72 plants. (12 per, plus care giver 12).

Market is just waiting to be tapped.
But you cant grow if you are within 25 miles of a dispensary. With the number of dispensaries planned then only 20% of the state will be open to home cultivation. And most of those places are not hospitable to humans with basic needs. Google a map and draw a 25 mile radius around every major city and town. See where you can live and grow.

Surely you don't think that is going to hold up in court, do you?

There are already 5,000 people in the state able to grow, probably closer to 25,000 by the time the dispensaries open (depending on how long this lawsuit gets dragged out). They are able to grow for the entire year their card is valid - until they have to renew. They will be providing the D's with their initial stock. Do you think all those people that were growing semi-commercially are going to stop all of a sudden?

Very doubtful - caregivers will continue to grow, and when the first one gets popped, it will get challenged in the courts.

I am getting to old for the gorilla life. Prison without my heating pads and ice bags just wont work. So I have been researching for the past two years on where to live and grow a stash. I checked out rents, medical facilities, transportation and political and social tolerance of government and people. Hawaii keeps working its way to the top of the list. The plant and possession numbers are not great now but there is a good dialect between government and users and restrictions are changing. A little cabana with a breeze where I can smell the ocean and my girls while I sit on the lanai and wonder if I have to get dressed today.

Yeah, it'll be "challenged in the courts" as a last-ditch defense, and subsequently get laughed out of court.

Have you read the law? I have. The language is very clear; admirably so, even. This is nothing unconstitutional, state or federally, about the requirement. It will stand, 100 percent. It's not a gray area, nor is it poorly written. Very straightforward. Club within 25 miles= you're illegal.

That we all agree that its' a lame law doesn't help much in court man.

In considering this fact that and the fact that you will probably face a gun-obsessed, right wing jury/judge, and Arizona is the last place I'd want to grow within the so-called "med states." Even with the great weather.

I hear that.

What keeps me out of the PNW is that all the areas I want to live in, have "lol" real estate markets. I could afford to rent there but that's it.

I don't want to rent the rest of my life, and I don't wanna pay 350K for a shit-shack, either. I mean, PNW rules, but not as much as oceanfront property in sunny socal, and the real estate prices are about the same in my experience.

right now the WA law is a bit fuked, but personal is 15 plants and 24oz, and community gardens can have 45 plants and 72 oz.
personally i think i live in an ecotopia, but i am supposed to tell anyone who asks, that it just rains here all the time.

just saw the above post about the real estate market.
you can rent a very nice 4bdrm up here (bham) for 13-1500/month which is about 300/mo cheaper than buying (upside down i know)
if you live "out in the county" (20 minutes away lol) you can get acreage for the same money.

in my super humble opinion bellinghamsterdam has the best herb anywhere i have lived, and that includes south cali AND vancouver BC. thats the bad news actually....you gotta grow some fyah if you want to get 3k+/lb

Arizona is way to unstable now to consider. Unless you are part Apache. Shame to because with the low cost of housing Arizona could become the fastest growing economy in the country.

Hawaii's great if you're retired, but I don't think there are many jobs there. Last time I went there were shitloads of homeless people there. Good luck.
