Cannabisculture and/or High Times worth ordering?

I have been thinking about it every once and a while; Whether to start subscribing either one of these magazines and both.. :blowbubbles:

I'd just like some cannabis reading material - That is not the internet, there's plenty of forums I often visit

For what I have heard, these magazines are about 80% advertisements, with about 1 page per every 10 pages being an article - this is one reasons I haven't yet ordered

I have never ever seen either magazines in real life; Therefore I am unsure how these two publications differ...

Please bump me into the right direction; I wouldn't want to waste money

Oh, and I have been growing for total of 8,5 years and I am a professional gardener (working for the local municipality), so more professional = better

magazines are such a waste of money, 75% ads, 20% bullshit and maybe 5% worth reading, but not shit you couldnt read here for free.

I'd like to actually get my hands on something, instead of all these fancy web pages..

And read articles that wouldn't be 99 pages long because of the comments, or read articles that haven't been filled by trolls, or read articles that actually have information in them instead of some stonertalk.

No offence to anybody! I am just pointing out some things I don't like in the internet communities

The IC magazine seems to be shut down too, btw? Or there's like a new magazine every 5 years or something?

second the Treating Yourself idea.

TY has many more articles than HT and is full of real useful information. Not just all the stuff you already knew +BS hype.

HT would be better than TY only if you prefer a lot of pictures that you've seen 10 times before and legal bud ads

Cannabis Culture is WAAAAY better than High Times. Unfortunately, since Marc Emery went to jail, Cannabis Culture is no longer in publication. Get yourself some back issues on ebay, they're all pretty good, with fewer advertisements. Dana Larsen put CC together.

That being said, if all you want to do is to learn to grow pot, then right here is the best spot on the interweb. It's free too.

better info to get you "growing" than HT

hahahaahaha!!

I subscribed to High Times for years.. it progressively worse... They punt their advertisers i.e whoever spends money with them gets excellent reviews within the mag. It has just become really generic and full of $hit! As previous posters sai , u will gain more reading through ICMAG for a few hours then you will reading a years worth of High Times magazines. This is real world opinions, and real world solutions!

If you are keen for something 'hard'.. I was also recommended treating yourself. :tiphat:

If it wasn't for a few asswipes ICC would be the shit !! Since Emery went to prison CC is basically nonexsistant and High Times has great pics but their way to biased toward some seed producers that are way overrated! [Greenhouse and Barneys]

This is like standing on a pile of gold asking for silver. You got the worlds canna resources right here, any you are wondering about high times? High times is a good read and all but I believe everything in that mag has been sold to high times and is not normally the best info. Just info from people that pay to be in the mag. Same with the strain reviews. Treating yourself is much better. Good luck.

^Or print out the threads.

I have every CC issue they came out with. I am actually in a couple of them. The are fun to flip through. High Times is a catalog for fake weed.

IC is a interactive magazine, that can actually answer your questions.

I am on a restricted income and my money has value in my mind. Those rags are aimed at people that have disposable income. IC. Google and YouTube soothes my jones. A donation to the server fund here is a much greater value.
