you my not see it but i assure you brickpack is far from "nonexistant" in the bay area...
my cali kats ALL have access to plenty of it but never touch the junk!
my point here was that you and sick both speaking in absolutes concerning the sources of schwag is disingenuous at best...
the above pictured trash is (buying one lb at a time) what goes for $800 in most of the country.(funny thing is if you buy 5 or more you can get 'em for $400)
that aint no poorly grown headband ;)
it's poorly grown landrace oaxacaian or some such...

I used to work with herb like this when I was 13 and 14 years old. Why would a person buy that? Or worse smoke it. I would rather not smoke at all then smoke that. It probably smells like ammonia and is already rotting and decomposing.

You evil profiteer Krunch!
I bet that weed was pumped full of chems and grown in rockwool.
And machine trimmed!?
Have we no limits to our depravity?

What can I say? The laws of Supply and Demand. No. That doesn't work on this site.
The compassion of those who can for those who can't?...
No.
Cause if I can do something, then surely they can do SOMETHING (would it kill someone to give me a reach around after fucking me in the ass?).

I guess this is just what happens when you make something legal. All these newbs growing just cause they can. And even worse, people willing to smoke it, buy it for less money.
I feel, being the pot-snob that I am, that they should get what I'm giving, pay what I'm asking, and STFU and be happy with it!
I only drink the finest breast milk, from a pregnant Cambodian.

Ganja D, don't tell me were never so hurtin' for herb that you hunted around for scraps of some Mex that you knew was moldy, or scraped your pipe and smoked the resin. Hell, on a road trip once with some stoner friends back in the day, we saved all the ASHES from our meager stash, then fired those up when we ran out. (Till a grower roadside in Covelo randomly hooked us up with some seeded pot...THAT's bagseed I wish I had.)

And you know there are people in the exact same situation right now. When I lived back east I used to get some schwaaa from this rasta dude who could get kind but never did because the margin wasn't there for his little re-sale operation. Shit sometimes had me kicking myself 'cause it made me have some chronic cough and stuff, I can hardly even believe it as I type this.

Now I'm in Cali and we pulled off an okay harvest last year, so it's all I can smoke, eat, and tincture of good sourced herb with no chemicals at all on it, completely processed under our care.

But it just goes to show everything is relative. I'd hate to find myself in that situation again, so I knock on wood and remember, 'there but for the grace of Goddess go I.'

the real threat to cali would be KY or TN legalizing....
talk about killing it...
most people think northern cali is the optimum environment for ganja growing legally speaking it sure is..
but there is a swath through IN,KY and TN that would just blow the entire lid off of the cali monopoly..
imo

I have been smoking since I was 14 years old. Mostly on and off untill I was 18, then started growing and smoking lots. I can honestly say I have NEVER smoked bammer or brick weed in my life. I have turned it to hash or pot food, but NEVER SMOKED it. I used to be the hook up for herb back in grade school and people still tell me to this day, "dam, whatever happen to that high school weed we used to smoke?" Most of it was shipped strait from Humboldt. I never even considered smoking brick weed when I was getting fresh super kill from Humboldt. I still remember my hook calling on his ride down saying, "Killa Ho time." This always meant good things.

My guy would drive all the way to San Diego and make about 10 stops back up to Humbolt. I either saw duffel bags with 50lbs each in them, or the same duffels stuffed with money. Crazy stuff when you are 16, I would never mess with something like that again.

Not so sure. If this were the case, they'd be outproducing California in any number of agricultural areas.

California produces 80% of the fruits and veggies for the entire USA. Can't see a "swath" of Kentucky up and overcoming the mega commercial agriculture machine that is California, tip to tail.

Regardless of how favorable the climate is, in a purely legal environment, California would outproduce any other State (it would rank 17th in WORLD economies were it a nation) in just about any crop.

I mean... georgia is famous for its peaches, but I've never had a georgia peach north of the mason dixon line or east of the mississppi. The rest of the country (besides local markets) is owned by California.

I'm not just being a California fanboy... just considering the facts.

Not so sure i agree with you there. The soil in the TN, OH, KY area is perfect. It is full of minerals from all the glaciers and the top soil is very deep and rich. The amount of coal and natural gas in the area says alot about the soils past.

It isnt developed by BIG AG because it is hilly.

i look at comparable tobacco production rates.
also taking scale into account.
that and dwindling water for irrigation makes the unnatural AgCorp in CA completely unsustainable....

the results of the AgCorp farming in cali are the salton sea

yeah, with LA constently growing in population they will run out of water sources in the near future, norcal however should have enough for quite a while, until LA and socal taps into it that is. The colorado river never makes it to the ocean because all the water is diverted to southern cali.
