I only use 1 teaspoon of tiger bloom because I am using open sesame and humic and silica and all those are dervied from plant food ingredients. But lately it has been hard to measure, the ph because the open sesame turns the water red, which for my ph meter means 5.0 and below so it have to pay close attention to the dropper as soon as it hits the nutes to check the color.

also i did burn the top of my grape ape but it has recovered since i took the pic you can't see it in the pic of all the plants but here is a close up

And 2 of them were topped, 2 were not.

Get a digi tester when you can. - accuracy is paramont and a lil off can be a bad thing.

papers are fine for scool experiments but for my garden - about 5. summtin is not near good enough.

I see them tiny crispy tips - go back to what you were doing befor they burnt and keep on rolling. That's lightly crisped around the tips - I've done MUCH worse - believe me! I've also learned well from my screw-ups.

JMO, but,, with color based kits - the color of the liquid can change my perception of the reading - with a digi test pen, I get +/- .05 - even with discolored runoff water.

what ya got is working for ya, but there are more than a few posts where peeps have upgraded to digital testers.

Even with digitals - the probe should be cleaned and calibrated regurarly.

cleaned especially after testing runoff.

I love Tigerbloom at 1/2 strength - saves more adding "Stuff" namely ph up - - but I lean to the less can be more clan.

Give them what then want and they will reward you.

Full Speed Ahead!

wana start a pool on harvest? lol

I have that exact Ph meter and I must say it was a steal! I have been using it for about 2 months now and it works like a charm. :rasta:

Just a suggestion, but next grow use cheap ferts and spend the money on a better light. All the fancy ferts in the world won't make up for a lack of lumens. If that's all you can do, so be it, but a 400-600w HPS will make a heck of a difference in the result.
