AN "badass" isnt a badass

Hey guys,

not really sure where to post this but is/has anyone run these and hd trouble. i just got one ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO, first generation and it went out on me. so i have been waiting on thes JACKWAGONS to mail me a new one but its been like a month(normal turnaround??).. looks like there "badass" isnt so badass ANYONE having issues? luckily i have my 2 trusty ol magnetics so it didnt make me dark put it sure pisses me off... so i wrote a letter to AN... LOL NOT SURE WHAT ITLL DO THOUGH

YA.... its the brand newest digital ballast by advanced nutrients, i was tryin somethin new... think ill stick with what i know.. lmfao

Sorry about your bad luck have had mine about 5months also and no trouble whatsoever works great ..also when I ordered it I got A free Bad-ass bulb both running great .........ST

DAMN LUCKY SKUNK!.. anY out of the ordinary humming? i know theyre loud but mine seemed louder than it should be waay louder than my buddies lumatek.. its are bright as hell though.. definitely brighter burn than my magnetics... IM JUST WAITING for them to send my new one it sucks (Advanced Nutrients Customer Service) i will definitely not be buying ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS waay OVERPRICED IMO.. AND THEY DONT BACK THEYRE GURANTEES FOR SHIT!!! BIG JOHN YOU SUCK!!

Must be the luck of the draw....my badass ballast is A lot less noisy then my lumatek was went thru 3 lumateks..all of them gave me problems...my badass ballast has no humming noise ..no more so then any other ballasts I have used to date so far my quantum ballasts has been the best no problems with it at all after 4 years remains to be seen if the badass ballasts is as good time will tell..ST

OTHER THAN THE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I LOVE THE WAY IT WORKS.. OR WORKED RATHER.. WELL SEE WHEN I GET IT BACK MAYBE COMPENSATION IS IN ORDER BUT IM NOT HOLDIN MY BREATH

I'm thinking you two have different ballasts... the marketing papers I saw listed two versions... one that is a traditional electronic ballast like luma's & quantums... and a second that is a pseudo-eb that fires in the 50-60 hertz range.

The former is quiet like any other eb. The latter is noisy like any other c&c... rather, I read that it was louder than the traditional ballast...?

I got a 1000w AN Baddass when they first came out with a Horti SuperBlue and never had a problem and flick the dimmer up and down all the time without shutting down or waiting.

mine was louder than/or as loud as my switchable mag.

eeh not really sure wich other one theere is.. i seem to remember seeing a square ish' ballast... mine was long , rectahttps://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=30664&pictureid=696603 ngular and had a lil fan inthe end of it by the dimmer i didnt like the dimming knob either, as it kept falling off i had to keep looking for it on the floor after i medicated... lol.. my s tore has since replaced it with a brand new phantom and so far i love it , it is completely silent and i can actually touch it without sayin aaah!!! might buy another one after this crop... https://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=30664&pictureid=696609
