Two 4x8 with 6k....SOG - 50/72 plants per table - DTW - RW Slabs

Probably wouldnt even need the 10 day veg...

Vscrog stadium style. vert bulbs down the center, 2 tiers, drip fed coco.. I would probably put the shelves in 3/4 of the room.. I would put 8, 2 or 3 gal pots per row. I think with the proper Ac you could easily put in 8kish ( serious venting /ac needed).. It seems as strains that stretch more do better in this set-up.. check out vert threads by selfhemployed or Northern Farmer. they crush it in the yield dept..

what about 12 of these, 3 on the left wall 3 on the right wall 6 down the middle back to back...

12 x 600w cool tubes not hung vert but horizontal, 3 up high inline lighting the top 3.5ft, 3 below inline lighting the bottom 3.5ft in both sides

600 plants no veg just good cuts rooted straight to flower.... 6 crops a year whacha thing you could pull yield wise per run?

if you even get a half ounce a plant youd be crushing it. 19 lbs each pull, get outa here! you can easily get the yields. I had 2 plants in 16oz beer cups, top fed drip, just like that, mounted to a wall in my garage, at approx the same angle as that wall, and they both pulled over a half oz

I have no clue. One wild idea that comes to mind, probably a stupid idea: maybe fill the room with shelves? I mean, sort of dividing the room up to two separate 4' high tiers, so to speak. Have a 2x10 foot walkway down the middle of the room. Then on both sides of the walkway, have two canopies that are 8x4x4 feet. (one on top of the other) A 1000w HPS per each 4x4 area, making for eight HPS bulbs in the room. At least one plant per square foot of canopy. Maybe substitute one or more of the 1000 watters for 600 watters and go 3x3 for those areas to help make more space for equipment and such.

Or maybe a stadium style grow, like Heath's high plant count stadium grow(s?). Multiple stadiums for that space. Maybe stadium isn't the right word... I mean a hydro set up where the plants are stacked directly on top of each other and are angled to the light, rather than like a bowl type stadium.

IME 2 stories don't work with 8' ceilings. This when my reservoirs are below the floor, too. The only way to make 2 stories work with 8' ceilings is to go vert IMO. I've tried to get them working with 1kw lights though, so 600s might give you a bit more wiggle room. I doubt it though. The only way I'd go with 2 stories with horizontal grows is if I had at LEAST 10' ceilings, and that's with the reservoirs below the floor. 2 Stories is pretty much impossible for most horizontal residential growers without working out some serious issues.

Do the math:

MINIMUM 18" between top of canopy and bottom of reflector. MINIMUM 18" between top of canopy and top of container. MINIMUM 8" between between bottom of reflector and top of reflector.

that's 42" already. Double it for 2 stories and you're at 84". That leaves you a whopping 14" for the height of the pots (x2) and clearance for your tubs and plumbing, plus reservoirs, plus clearance for the reflectors and any hanging hardware (x2).

IME horizontal grows need at least 5' of vertical space, not including reservoir if you're using gravity return.

Sure you can go shorter on the plants but now you're talking SCROG or lots of training if you want to make that work. And you still need a fairly thick canopy to get good yields. I wouldn't go under 12", but that's just my guesstimate.

crazy ideas here...i would definately go with the scrog, the vertical setups need a little longer of a veg, but if you have a seperate veg room you can pull it off..

im also doing 10x10x8 with 4200 in lights but il never pull any kind of weight like that...im looking at 3 month flowering cycles damn near....quality over quantity for now but still pulling 1-1.5 a light but i definately would love to hit 2 per light...3 per light is just fucking insane....i might have to try phenix's method but in my experiance running the 1 gallon pots scrog style i never hit 1oz per plant, more like 1/2 oz...

Vertical, stacked shelves.......As Spock would say: "such one dimensional thinking." Ya gotta take the best system out there and move the ball forward. Like Heath's system for example. How can you double it's productivity?

Best garden I've ever seen:

Doubleds at the Farm got 42# dried out of 10 plants and 11.2kw, with a 3 week veg. CO2 and MPB's, with AC naturally.

Cut that to 4 lights, 4 plants, and you could theoretically get around 16 pounds, or roughly 4# per light. I hated running SOGs, the plant counts, moms and cloning drove me insane.

Next best bet would be stadium with 4kw, maybe a couple linear rails too. Run a sealed room with CO2 for best yields.

vert or stadium with all 1k bulbs. high yielding strain, ac, co2. top lighting, side lighting, back lighting... mad clones w hundreds of plants in flower.
