Morning CC... hell of a weather situation, can't believe it's June 2nd! Was drinkin with a buddy last night in his outdoor bar area and it felt like a January night for my area!

Already goin over better ways to prepare for unreasonable weather next season... though I'm actually quite happy with my garden this year, still have a chance to make it one of my better ones yet...

How are things going with your blackbox setup? I think you were talking about getting one going right? It's early and I slept in, bit of a headache, so apologies if you already talked about it recently LOL.

Hey Slang...i think were thru the worst of the weather out here on the W Coast...Gonna be sunny from Mon on out...I think! I'm gonna begin the in-ground assault on Mon. It'll give the girls at least a full week window of nice weather adjustment time without adverse conditions. Theyre already hardened off, wind resistant and acclimated to the still cool nights. Have I forgotten anything? LOL

My half-way house/greenhouse will become the blackbox. I didnt want to mess with blackboxing my first year on this property but with the girls haven gotten so large, the 100 gal Smarties will hopefully handle the size of the larger plants better than the outdoor holes and it gives me an earlier yield. It's all guess and by golly...lol

A greenhouse now...

Remove the clear plastic, replace with a black-sided tarp and boom-bada bing, it's now the blackbox. 12 hrs of daylite, 12 hrs of dark and the twits can flower till the cows come home...I think it's mostly a pain to cover and uncover everyday for apprx 2 months but it is what it is...CC

In the meantime, the back up clones are cooking on the front burner...I took cuttings from the originals thinking I might lose a few in the greenhouse over the 3+ months of veggin but as you can see from past posted pics, that didnt happen. So, a few of these may go in the Hollow and I guess the rest will probably be dropped from an airplane to lucky folks below, wanderin the streets of the 530...lol CC

So wait... you are still putting plants outside outside right? because you did a lot of work rock hounding to turn back now...

check out my planting day!

LOL dude! Rock hounding...I like that. No man, I had mentioned in an earlier post about running a blockbox for a few of the plants...maybe 4 at the most...Are you kidding? I earned my f'n grow stripes on them damn holes. My right of passage has been served. The in-ground assault will commence at O-dark thirty, Monday the 6th...Turning back is never an option...lol CC

You're right about that - most of my interest in your grow stems from your unique, rocky situation... most guys, myself included, would have just took the easy - more expensive - way out. Mucho respect for that.

No journal for me because I like to spend my time here watching others.. but I've started an album with pics of my tiny backyard action.. check it out if you got time!

Thanks for the refresher on your blackboxer, I know you'll knock that out of the park .. hope to gain ideas as I've already start plans for one next season (too busy this year LOL).

I'm sitting back enjoying the rest of this weekends cool lazy weather.. it'll be hot and dry soon enough!

in between short bursts of workin with my plants i've read this whole thread..we're all in this together and i'm pullin for ye..............an old fat man in the hills.

You were about to fall off the first page... bah to that...

Are you planting today?

Hey Mani...thanks for keepin me on the tabloid front pages...lol It rained heavy yesterday, showers today and callin for more tomorrow. So, nope, I didnt give in to the planting withdrawls. Going to wait till Tues. The way I figure it, my plants, at their size are at least a month ahead of average size so I can afford to wait a few more days. You'll see what i mean when I take the "after planting pics"...Until then...CC
