Last time I was at the Pollonater in Amsterdam, I met this guy there who did what I'm trying to say. Yeah I might lose something maybe but what's a couple grams when I'll have ounces. I'm not really trying to have to run multiple batches.
I am not sure if it is right ot ask this here but I am anyways.
I am going to try the washing machine method next fall after spending days and weeks it seems processing my shake/popcorn bud this fall. and with fighting with the 25micron bag I have an idea I need to run past people.
I plan on having the machine pump out into a set of 5gal bags down to the 60micron size then drain onto a "sluicebox" I want to make a 8ft long3ft wide frame attach a way of vibrating it and sling a strip of 25micron material over it. the frame would sit on an angle and would vibrate a lot. the water/produce that gets thru the 60 microm would fall onto the top of the sliucebox and run down it, with the vibration I am hoping the water would be filtered by the time it runs the 8ft.
I wonder would it work? be a waste of time or just need more engineeering?
so $300 and some time/effort and you basically have something comparable to a bubblenow XL, that's my understanding here.
i feel there's something to be said for the logistics of having a bnow as opposed to a full size washing machine... one weighs 24 lbs and can be tucked away fairly easily, and the other is a full size washing machine...
also, one could argue that the customer service that comes with the bubblenow makes w/e extra price almost negligible...
bubblenow xl is 350 thats only 50$ more...id gladly pay for the machine A. im lazy B. customer service is A+....seems like a worthwhile extra $50 to spend imho
How much trim can you run in the Bubblenow XL? MDK is right, paying the extra 50 would be worth it, for its size and portability/ease of storage, compared to a full size machine. It depends on many factors that is specific to each persons situation, whether it's better to have a XL or a fullsize dedicated machine, IMHO.
1-What kind of material is best to use? My understanding is fresh frozen green material. If so, would you coarse grind it?
2-My machine took a 1 1/4" discharge hose. That was too big, it did not drain very well. I will try a 1". Does that sound right?
3-Fill 1/2 full of water, ice, and (2) large zippered bags with ice & material in it.
4-Run machine on gentle or regular and let it pump out water & trics. Would you add water and pump out again? If so, would you squeeze the bags before pumping-out the second time?
