Synthetic cannabinoids?

Just curious what the icmagers thought about synthetics. Personally I say fuck them and legalize the plant. Some people on another forum are fighting and saying synthetics don't do any harm, but so far it has shown in the JWH that it is bad for you, and these synthetics are just making the movement look worse. I've recently heard about Sativex and Marinol, but don't have any real information about it, besides that they are apparently Synthetic THC, and that THc by itself isn't medical.

There's a big difference between synthesized THC and synthetic cannabinoids.
I personally don't have any use for either, but I don't feel like they should be lumped together...

Whoever said better living through synthetics either has or will have breast cancer in their not so distant future. Just ask your friendly water bottle manufacturers.

well when i had cancer i got marinol, its synthetic THC that saves peoples lives. because where i live getting cannabis isnt easy, instead i got these pills to help with pain and they do just that

because of the amount of pain i was in i got the 10mg, one of those pills will have you lost for hours wondering where you even are. they are made from sativas, delta-9 THC they call it, sounds like it came from the air force and packs the same wallop. they are pretty much just as harmless if not safer because you swallow them, just 100x stronger and i mean this.

there are good synthetics, again it gets me on the issue of people not giving things room to advance or being so picky about things they havent really looked into, yes some things just cant advance for the better but there are a small amount of people making synthetic drugs from natural components just like marinol that are very safe and actually meant to help people like me.

later on i got some fentanyl when things went really bad, that stuff is literally a opium lollipop and it taste like candy, you rub it around on the inside of your cheeks, god that was expensive stuff, i dont know of to many people who have been in that amount of pain to get the prescription drugs i have.. but i can say marinol and fentanyl made things pain free and are probably the most expensive and top of line prescription drugs for pain relief. the only reason i had gotten them because i was just in that bad of shape. fentanyl was very bad over time though because its stronger than any heroin you can get anywhere, as fun and as great as it felt the withdraws i went trough when i had to stop taking it was horrible.

if i said fuck synthetics i dont know how well i wouldve gotten along without them thats just the reality of it for me, i guess some people have the luxury of saying fuck things without knowing how much they help others or what they are actually made of.

point being i can assure you i used marinol for more than 2 years straight and its the most powerful THC related drug probably on this planet and it is as safe as eating a brownie. fentanyl on the other hand will and can kill you, but if you ever come across some i have to say you must try it at least once i mean its a opium lollipop that actually taste like candy cant pass that up. sadly i was on that for a year and looked like a heroin addict but it helped me get to where i am now so im thankful for that.

Before you post you should do just a little research, SATIVEX is made from plants grown in the UK, the THC is not synthetic at all.
That said, is 100% pure THC from a plant any different then 100% pure synthetic THC?
Hell no, they are the same. I understand that you may prefer herbal Cannabis to other forms of Cannabinoid delivery, but don't use misinformation to try and convince people to think like you.

Interesting, so it's just the THC from the plant and thats legal? I would think that would be what they wouldn't want it legal, nor did I think THC had medicinal properties?

I figured that THC is THC, doesn't matter if it's synthetic or not, but I keep hearing things and that's why I asked here.

The thing with synthetics is, what's in them? No one knows what's in these pills you're taking, or what this liquid is, but the plant is the plant, there is nothing lurking in the shadows.

I don't have much info, that's why I'm asking..........

I think it's very important to note we're talking about two different things - K2/Spice 'fake' weed, and medically prescribed Marinol/Sativex synthetics.

The only reason why people are smoking unknown dried plant materials adulterated with unknown synthetic cannabinoids is because the known, safe plant materials are illegal. These are more victims of prohibition.
