Whats up guys, decided to make a thread about my oudoor antics as its easier to document. Im going to try to make it picture heavy as everyone likes a few pics
Firstly heres a few pics from last years grow. There Dutch Passion Frisian Dew...
I was happy enough with the results but I had a few problems along the way
1. The plants were in pots buried in the ground but the bottom of the pots hadn't been broken, preventing roots from going into the ground which I think could of affected yield
2. There wasn't enough fertilizers in the soil and it was difficult to bring up enough nutes mixed in water for all the plants
3. There was nothing protecting the plants from animals and a good few lower branches were broken off, causing some mold in the broken areas of the stem
4. Alot of rain from early September onwards......not much I could do about it
Overall I was still pleased with the results and im just trying to improve on it.
This is the same spot but I have cleared all the weeds, roots and other crap out of the area.
Ive also fenced off the plants and put weed fabric around the outsides to hopefully keep any chance of Botrytis to a mininium.
Thanks to Cookie for his thread on the grey menace

I have 14 Frisian Dew. The reason I stuck with them is because I know they grow here and It was just the logic of stick with what you know works. I only wish I knew about Esbes HFH a few months ago. But what harm, there's always next year.
Each plant is in a 50 Litre Bag of Plagron all mix
Im hoping theres enough nutes the keep em happy for a month or two. After than I might just sprinkle guano on the top of each bag and let it soak in itself during flowering. The bottom of each bag has alot of holes in it so the roots can go where they like.
Heres some pics of the site from a week ago 05-17-2011, this was the day the plants went outside
All plants were sprayed with organic pest spray. The white rings around the plants is a mixture of Lime, to keep slugs away and some nutes to improve the soil
The next pics are from 05-21-2011. The weather had been horrible so i decided to check on them. They have def grown but there still pretty small
I have 2 plants in pots buried in the ground with the bottoms broken. I really dont think the broken bamboo is gonna stop anything that wants to eat the plant but it was worth a shot.
The past 2-3 days has been continous rain, day an night so I hope their all ok. I dont think its worth checking on them as theirs nothing I can so I might leave them for another week or so.
