How's about a little info? Head to the Infirmary and copy the applicable (soil v hydro) chart. Answer the questions and post them up.

On another note, your photos are HUGE. Space for member photos is limited. Reduce them to 600x800 and you'll have room for hundreds more shots. Save for the web, and you may make room for thousands.

Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?i try to create a good/wet dry cycle
Is your water HARD or SOFT? not sure, i usally adjust ph to around 6.5 when feeding/water
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled?city water
If using tap water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS of the water right out of the tap?(Only if you have a tds pen)not sure i should measure i have a truncheon
Are you using water from a water softener?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?topped around week 2/3
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?i am going to use mosquito dunks as i have found gnats. i also have a no pest strip hanging near the fan in the top right corner. i put it in today
Are plant's infected with pest's?that is why i need your help...the discoloring of the leaves is scaring me...something is going on

my guess is your over nuting them... ocean forest has all the nutes in the soil... alll you need is water...

but not only are your plants eating that your feeding it 700ppm so its getting double feedings....

just feed them water till they show signs of deficioncies or at least cut out the grow nutes.

thanks for the response...are you looking at my pics and surmising this conclusion? or are you just going by what i posted? anyways, regardless, thanks for the advice...

would love a second opinion. i have already decided the next watering is going to be a healthy dose of ph'd wated

im going by what you filled out... pictures help but plants burn in many ways.... i can promise you if you stop feeding it grow nutes and stick to water itll recover....

ps... no need for a second opinion.... -=]

thanks i just flushed one of them that was thirsty... it was also the worst off of them all...should i go ahead and flush the others? the other two arent quite thirsty enough but i was thinking i go ahead and flush....

can you flush without them being thirsty

i just flushed them with a lot of 6.4ph water....
this is what they looked like before...not 5minutes ago

was flushing the right thing to do or is there something else going on here

P

thanks poopyteabags, i just flushed them with about a gallon each of pure 6.4phd water. i am hoping they perk up a good bit in the next couple of days...i didnt test the runoff as i havent figured the best way to do that yet...

P

Paully_B

do you think flushing is whats going to help? how do i adjust the ph in my soil? i know how to test ph before i feed/water....

here are some updated pics i just took

just ph some tap water and pour through your medium check the runoff water when that water reaches a acceptable range your good to go... only flush when the plant needs water...

P

Paully_B

what would you say an acceptable range would be....around 6.5? should i go ahead and trim the affected fan leaves? also, i am going to take some cuttings soon to as these are essentially just mommas a friend gave me....they are huge but at the same time...i was thinking about taked 8-10 cuttings...as soon as they root i would get rid of the three girls i got in there currently...

would you say the rest of the growth (according to the pics) looks pretty healthy?

they dont look that bad at all... it looks to me like too much nitrogen, and possibly under watered.

how dry are you letting the soil get before you water?

You really need to post your problems in one place. It's a pain in the ass chasing after several different threads about the same issues.

No offense but I disagree with the diagnosis of over fertilization. In fact I will go so far as to say that it IS ABSOLUTELY NOT over fertilization.

None of the pictures show any evidence of nute burn. No burnt tips, no leaves curling under, no new growth burned or discolored. It just simply isn't nute burn.

Those plants are suffering from deficiencies. Prior to flushing they were lacking Phosphorus, Mg, and Zinc, and possibly Nitrogen. Now I would presume that they are lacking pretty much everything.

If allowed to go until the pots dry they will most probably lose foliage and continue yellowing and dying of the leaves.

If they were in my nursery I would flush em with a full dose of nutrients. Improvement will be seen almost immediately or within 24 hours, however the drying, dying leaves will fall and die, they are too far gone to recover.

Like I said in the other thread:

Never flush a sick plant. Fix the problem or deficiency first. Flushing only compounds problems.

Odds are that your plant diet isn't supplying sufficient immobile nutes and chelated minerals which will cause lock out. You need to get some food back to those plants, but you need to get a balanced dose to em so they will uptake properly.

I water when the pots are dry, and I soak the soil and over watering is never a problem.

I'd mix up a batch of this recipe and feed em all at least twice with it, 3 times wouldn't hurt either.
16 crushed Aspirin,
3/8 cup Brer Rabbit Molasses,
8 tsp Jack's Classic All Purpose (20-20-20),
3 Tbls Epsom Salt,
8 Tbls Lilly Miller Vitamin B1 Plant Starter.
Mixed in 3 cups hot water (boiling hot) to dissolve solids.
Makes 1 quart concentrate. Stored in Refer.
Mixes 16 Gal. @ 1/4 cup per gallon.
Ph 6.5 - 7.

Deficiencies are almost always caused when 1 or more nutrients are not being supplied in sufficient quantities to allow the plants roots to uptake properly.
If all crucial nutrients are being provided in sufficient amounts, salts don't build up and lock out won't happen.

Okay pardner...
You can substitute the Jack's Classic with your own nutes.

The Molasses, epsom salts, and Vit B1 are the keys to this recipe really. The molasses is loaded with vital micro nutes and minerals that help the plant uptake mobile nutes.
Epsom salts keeps your cal/mag in check and the B1 cleans the roots and encourages new growth as well as containing additional chelated minerals to carry other nutes into the plant.

I use Jack's Classic 20-20-20, which recommends a mixture of 1/2 tsp per gallon. My recipe adds 4 gallons extra water and sufficient micro nutes and chelated minerals to prevent uptake problems.

I also NEVER have to flush my plants. Flushing should be reserved for overdoses, and never when plants show deficiencies as flushing them will only compound any deficiencies because it washes any remaining nutrients out of the soil.

So a plant that starts with a minor Iron or Zinc deficiency that's easily fixed with Molasses, can quickly become a major overall deficiency after flushing.

I have never used any of the products you've listed, so I really can't offer an educated suggestion.

I can't really give you any advice on the nutes you've listed buddy. I settled on the recipe I posted many moons ago because it works and never causes any sort of problems.

I really haven't ever experimented with substituting other ingredients.
