Flowering Question-400W to 1000W after 2nd Week

Got my plants in Veg under a 400W HPS they are getting pretty big and I would like to start flowering. However my 1000W HPS is covered for the next 3 weeks. I was thinking next week to flip the 400 to 12/12, when my 1000W free up they would be 2 weeks into flower.

So the question, does anyone have experience with this and the side effects? Would it effect the yield much?

I was also thinking swithing the flowering plants under the 1000W to the 400W and finish the last 2 weeks under that. I figured the buds are mostly formed.

I know neither is the ideal situation but I guess I would want to go through with the one with the least negative side effects. Debating on which one.

Both in 4x4 Tents

Veg-400W HPS
9 Plants in 3Gallon

Flower-1000W HPS
40 Plants in 1Gallon

Since my current flowering setup is SOG I was thinking the 400 HPS might do the trick for the last 2 weeks/flush.
The plants in Veg definately need more light/penetration also.

Just use the 400 hps to start your flower as there are no nugs for the light to be useful during the first 2 weeks of 12/12 photoperiod. And by the 2nd week in they will have formed nugs by then and could then use more light. Although i would sell your 400 watt ballst and upgrade to a 600 hps digital then you can run 400 mh or hps and also 600 hps only but 90'000 lumens its way brighter than your best 430 watts high cost more lumens lamp comin in at 47,000 lumens think about it 200 watts more power and you add another 43'000 lumens to your current set up. 600 is what you need

I'm not using the 400W HPS by choice, it was a friends/free of charge.
Ideally I'd be running a 8 Bulb T5 and 600W MH.
Also next run I wont run into this problem since they are getting 2 weeks less Veg.

But as mentioned
Would one rather finish flowering under a 400 HPS or begin flowering under a 400 HPS?
Based on my conditions
