Everybodys concern is appreciated, as I said, Ive thought about it. Regarding the light dropping-thats why I mentioned havinga bungee safety line fixed to a seperate ceiling hook-something which is a good idea to have even with fixed lights.
A really cheap, 7 inch desk fan probably wouldnt do it, but a decent 12 inch would, Ive done a few tests with a floorstanding fan some string and a toy car-to see if it could pull the car up over the back of the sofa and it it did, -not a scientific test but it showed what it could pull.
I the end ill probably go with flip/flopping anyway but I dont see any more inherent danger in the proposed fan method, than in rigging up pulleys to a lightrail -which is itself an awesome idea which I have also pondered over for a long time but dismissed because I wanted 2 bloom rooms flipping and couldnt work out how to rig the yoyo and keep the 2 rooms lightproofed at the same time to flip/flop and not disturb eachothers dark times.
I remember a guy at uk cultivator who mounted a socket to the front of his fan so the bare 400 watt hps lamp would pan from side to side---now THAT was dangerous LOL:wave:

dude, this is exactly my dilemma right now, well one of many dilemmas. odd!

I was thinking just run the lightrail across 2 tents side by side at the top and keep it mostly on one side and just make the holes as small as possible, could even duct tape em so no light comes through, but it could be ghetto..

I will probably just find a way to rig it up with just 2 small 1-3" diameter or less holes to run the rail(s), wire(s) through. or is mover rail too big??

thoughts?

LOL! This is why it can be so dangerous to DIY.

It is that fire I am waiting for to happen rite here too. I had water all over the floor and I once didn't use my carbonfilter at the start to see what would happen, when is that fire going to burn here?

:tiphat: sorry I took the week off....no fires yet...

the slh is filling in real nice...should finish up about july 15 or so.. .man how I wish that I had 6 in there instead of 3...the other 3 in smartpots (grape punch and buddah's sis) will yield maybe an oz or 2 a piece, but they were nowhere near as big as the slh when I flipped.

oh and I picked up a 30 pint dehuey about a week ago....finally piped it right into the rez tonite...it's barely keeping it at 45 though with all the rain we've had lately..I would have picked up a larger one for this size room but this one is going to a smaller (6x8) room after this run.

temps stay at 78-80, 45 humidity, rez is usually around 5.8, 600-700 ppm..anyone got a link to the EC conversion charts for the different brands of meters?that would be awesome.++

hey thanks man, apologies for not finishing this up...

The smaller plants in coco pulled about a oz each(they had issues) and the 3 lemons pulled around 7oz. Not bad considering I had to push them through the cycle much quicker then I wanted because of a change in the laws. I would have vegged them 2x as big if I had the time.

feeding was done with a eco396 that was on a 1on/5off recycle timer. When I started I ran the water pump 24/7 and even with such a small pump in a big rez..the water stayed around 70F...the problem was the the pump itself would heat up slightly..even though the surrounding water was much cooler, this made the slime start to grow so I switched to 1/5 which solved this problem immediately.

The waterpump led to a bunch of 1/4" feed lines to the top of each bucket...it was a rdwc ;) the water level stayed right at the bottom of the netpots the whole time.

The SLH is an amazing smoke and yields really well. I've gotten some phenos that are more lemon skunk leaning with that 'dankness' to them, others smell more like lemon cake or lemon candy. Nice uplifting high that's smooth to smoke to the last hit. I didn't get any phenos that turn out super high energy sativa type...but still a very nice daytime smoke that doesn't drag you down.

I was wondering about timing of the pump. The WF system runs 24/7 With it set up as a drip feed I will use you timings. The green lime can be a bitch. I was reading that the Lemon Skunk made a big hit at the Cup this year. I would like a more uplifting buzz, I wouldnt have to buy so many damn moca's at $3 a pop. Thanks for the replay, I hope to see more pixs. How you have a Happy Holidays.
Peace
