Am i the only one who thinks the holes will do just fine? sorry to post a pic in your thread CC but i want people to understand that large outdoor plants can be in some surprisingly small containers.

this is not my grow but i followed the entire thing and can say he did a great yield from pots that may even be smaller than your holes.

hey thanks LG for the words and the check-in. I tend to agree agree...Just do it! lol CC

Hey CDC, I've been having some wannabe flowering going on too... Bums me out but I take consolation in your reminder that there are no guarantees when it comes to gardens. Won't it make it more fun if we keep that in mind? Yes, I wanna have fun!

Yup, sometimes I get a little obsessed too and just want to "figure it all out" and "make the plants grow real fast!"

I do have a 4-ft SweetTooth that I'll be sad if I have to chop. Otherwise there's little backup clones I took from all the ones I got from that place we were talking about.

Yesterday and today, that's the kinda weather I can deal with.

You can try forcing them back with a heavy dose of superthrive or just top dress with a few big handfuls of alfalfa meal (much cheaper if you have horses, just make sure it has no salt added), the triacantonal inhibits flowering a bit and encouranges veg, it might help out. I have some 4ft mothers right now which started flowering a few weeks ago, since I top dressed with alfalfa meal they are right back into veg, flowering has stopped completely. I've even reduced my light schedule by another hour to get them ready for going outside in another week, not a single hair has been thrown.

Edited to say they are probably triggering because they're rootbound, getting them out of the small pots and clipping the roots a bit probably wouldn't hurt

Hey Mani...Welcome back! Yep, like I said, 'Give it your best, do it in earnest and from the heart..." Never thought about it bein fun tho...but obsessive, most definitely!

My back-ups are doin great which has created another problem. A good problem I guess. Ive decided to plant the bigs girls in the holes and let the grow Gods sort it all out. Flower or not, it'll be what'll be.

Which is gonna leave me with a passel of 8 inchers. I guess I could take em back to where I got the originals and let them buy em back for $50.00 apiece! LOL A CO-OP member has a right to make a profit too dont we?? LOL

Yea, the weather be stellar although that storm that blew thru last week was pretty stout, at least it had me scramblin. My neighbor put his little-uns out just before the storm and they got hammered. I think the grow-Gods were tryin to tell him something. I'm plugging on the 1st of June and lettin the horses run, so to speak...lol Man, it's like waitin for opening day at the ballpark...LOL CC

Hey Clunk...thanks for the visit and the input. Never heard of alfalfa meal! Yea, I think my pre-flower could definitely be connected to root bounding. Oh well, another week and theyll go in the ground and then we'll see what happens. To borrow a quote from Gen George Patton: "God help me, I do love it so..." LOL CC

LOL bro, I hear ya! New moon & June 1st= f'n cosmic! Yea, my period of "analysis causes paralysis" is over. Success is certainly welcome but I'm just thankful for having a place to grow my patient's meds and be able to dial in my program/process. If it takes a couple of seasons, that's OK 'cause I was always a "big picture" kind of guy...CC

Hey Danks, welcome back! Actually, I made an error in our geographical differences. I'm in the 530...Even tho we're a ways apart, it was you who helped me decide on June 1st and I thank you! "The horses are in the starting gate and the flag is up dude...!" CC

Hey CDC, any funnel clouds your way? We got distant thunder and some good hail, but I heard things were really hairy down there. I hope everything's Hunky Dory in Sleepy Hollow.

Hey Maps...Naw, we be good up here. Damndest thing fo sho. Never seen the like around these parts. South of us bout 60 miles, an almond grower lost 25,000 trees. A quarter of his total orchards. Man, this shit belongs in Kansas...We just got a mellow 2 day rain. I reckon the grow Gods spared me so they can torment me slowly thru-out the season...! LOL CC

Yea TB, it is kind of some strange goins-on out here with the weather deal. I'm holdin til June 1st no matter what. Some grow brethren around here tried to get an early start thinkin all they had to worry about was pre-flower. Well, 2 storms within 2 weeks later, theyre still pickin up the pieces of hammered down plants.

4 days and a wake up! CC

The wait gets absolutely grueling LOL!

Mine came out of hoophouse today and plugged into final homes, barring some sort of odd weather, I ought to be in the clear now - 10 day shows mostly sunny/partly cloudy. I'd kinda dig it if it rained now, think my girls would too... sturdy beezies.

Restrung my sup lights over my final pots, going to run em till 1st, possibly 2nd week of June to be safe.

Can't wait for some pic updates of the Sleepy Hollow... think I've been as interested in your grow as I have my own LOL.

Hey brother Slang...good of ya to check in...yea man, the weather deal out here is anybody's guess. That said, I'd like to wait till June 15th if I could, but the girls are starting to show serious signs of rootbound and their not gonna wait that long.

I'll post a few pics of the girls and give ya a good laugh. Their so f'n huge it's almost rediculous. LOL Talk about a learning mistake. I wont start my clones in Feb next year for sure. They got too big! I suppose i should consider myself lucky for such a problem but right now I just shake my head...lol

I'm still waffling back n forth as to whether to plant the moms and off the clones or blackbox the moms and plant the offspring. Jesus, talk about grower's vapor lock...! LOL BTW, the clones off the moms are close to a foot tall...Thru all this, the grow Gods are laughing...CC

Pics to come...CC

imo the size of your containers would prob be better with smaller 1 ft clones then giant moms. Plus who doesnt like depping moms........

some friends from home told me they got snow at 3500' in the 530. hope all is well for you there, good luck and stay green,
