How long to ripen canna seeds ?

I tried to find an answer to this but just could not find it. How long does it take to ripen the seeds of cannabis ? I did some pollinating two weeks ago and the buds are fat with green seed. I just need to know how long to let them ripen on the plant before harvesting them.

Imo, untill you see this:

After harvest most of your seeds should look similar to:

4 weeks is a good minimum, although the longer you wait, more of your seeds will be ripe.

Very good inquest. That helps allot. I see the seed pod will begin to dry and then open up. I pollinated them all on the same day at the same time so hopefully I will get what I need. I suspect they may even fall off as they become ripe..no ? I may need to put something below to catch them if some begin to fall off on their own.

As long as possible !!! We find that seeded plants take way longer than sensi (seedless plants) to mature .60 days plus after insemination is normal. The longer you leave them the more immature seeds will mature to produce strong seeds, with healthy offspring. Much depends on the variety

Hope this helps

On the plant min 4 weeks. I have great results at 40 days. Don't think I'd had one not germ yet.

If you mean after harvest most people say let them sit 30 days to dry out.

I'm not so sure the seed pod is drying out. I'm thinking the seed is swelling and then peeking out. Purely academic at any rate.... If you pollenated for only one day then they should ripen together as well. So, I dont think you'll need to catch any fallen seeds. :)

I agree Doc, it seems seed production can really tax your plants metabolism..... must be all the oil/fat in them.... plus all the oily tric resins, that's alot of stored energy!!
