You want the powdered. Try Home depot,Lowes, hardware stores. I can get 40 lb bags of it for 5 bucks at those places.

I could never find it at Lowes or HD, but I did find some at a tractor supply store, got 2 50# bags, should get me by fire a few dozen years..good luck..

Retail nursery, hardware store, farm supply, home improvement etc.

If you can't get powder, pelleted is better than no lime. You can crush the dry clay and or sift the grind through a screen.

Avoid inhaling lime dust, it's pretty bad stuff.

Thanks for all the replies! I know the best way it to add it and then mix it in the soil and then plant, but i have some plants already in their final container. Can you take the 2 tbs per gallon recs and mix it in the soil at the top of the container?

Hey friend,

I know this isn't the most popular answer, but you can use the epsoma lime. It is mixed with the little clay balls pelletized I believe. I now have the powdered, and have had more issues with it for some reason. I just used the mushroom compost from Lowe's, and the epsoma lime. Never had a problem, and the healthiest plants I ever grew. I had a mixed garden of organics, and chem's also. Powdered I'd still feel the popular answer, but the pelletized fine.

I also bought a coffee grinder for grinding up such things, and also did a light topdressing every once in awhile. Be well...D
